In Tampa/St. Pete, WTSP is in an evacuation zone and, according to Bobby Deskins, the station will probably be evacuating to the Florida State Fairgrounds. The station last evacuated in 2004 and 1985.

EDIT: They are evacuating to WMOR's studio facility in east Tampa. It looks very cramped.

Who knew WMOR had a "studio". I'd expect they'd be in some office building where in order to meet the studio requirement would be a prosumer camera with an HDSDI output with a cable strewn through the hall way to master control.

All four network stations are providing live coverage online, here are a few links as they can be a pain to find on their sites at time:

WFOR CBS 4: http://miami.cbslocal.com/video/channel/316-live-video/

WTVJ NBC 6: http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/Watch-Live-NBC-6-News-204316851.html

WSVN FOX 7: http://wsvn.com/on-air-live-stream/

WPLG ABC 10: https://www.local10.com/live/watch-the-local-10-news

Also, a separate question...

WSVN plans to continue their coverage from their studios, even though they are in an evacuation zone and right on the water (google maps photos attached). Anyone local know how safe their building is and how bad flooding could get in that area? I would not be showing up to work for this if I worked at WSVN, that's for sure!

If those fools are staying, then I'm expecting one hell of a show.

Someone must be convinced that building has a high survive-ability factor.

I guess if your going to die on the air...it's much cooler to die at WSVN then say in front of a Shell Gas station.

Good luck folks!

I will be watching for as long as the feed stays up.

Now that it seems like the Ft. Myers-Naples market is going to get the brunt of Irma. Here are a list of streams for that area.

WBBH (NBC2)- http://www.nbc-2.com/category/300756/nbc2-247-streaming-video

WZVN (ABC7)- http://www.abc-7.com/category/168380/abc7-live-stream

WBBH and WZVN are operated by the same company so these might end up being simulcast later on.

WINK (CBS)- http://www.winknews.com/live/

WFTX (Fox4)- http://www.fox4now.com/watch-live

WSVN has been at that site since ... what... the early 1960s? If not "day one?"** They could be in the same damn predicament as KHOU was.

**Day one, I mean, in 1962, when Sunbeam took over the operations of WCKT/7 under a separate broadcast license (Cox/Knight were stripped of the previous license).

I did hear that Cox Media sent additional engineers down to Orlando and Jacksonville to assist their radio and television operations.

WDBO 96.5 and WOKV 104.5 are now on with solid wall-to-wall rolling coverage. Not sure if their television counterparts, WFTV and WJAX/WFOX, have done the same.

WTSP showed the WMOR production studio they will broadcast from. It looked to be maybe 500 sq ft. tops with a green screen on two walls. Maybe they use it for promo spots?

Tegna/Gannett has invested a lot of money into renovating WTSP's studio facility, adding hurricane shutters, and a 6,000 sq. ft. addition, so doesn't seem like they intend to relocate despite the storm surge threat from any hurricanes.

The Sentinel said that Orlando stations will likely pacify the college football fans for the day by not breaking into those games and having commercial break updates, then go wall-to-wall when the games are over. Likely the same for Jacksonville (and I can't say I blame them; the last thing you need on your switchboard/Facebook is Bob McRazorbacksFan annoyed you're pre-empting the game in this situation, and this gives plenty of time to position everyone before landfall). And if they do go wall-to-wall, all the stations in Orlando except WKMG have sister stations with nothing airing to bump network stuff over to (WKMG will blow out their .2 Cozi in that case).

Looks like the networks have extensive plans, as per Stelter. They'll be doing SRs as needed between sports commitments. All three networks are going to basically pre-empt their normal Sunday morning lineups.
