Considering what's been happening in broadcasting in the last few years, it's kind of refreshing to see someone like Mark Suppelsa leave on their own terms, at the top of their game, with much respect and adoration of his industry peers and viewers.

If he's as trusted an anchor as we make him out to be, then I'm going to take his word for it that the acquisition was not his motivation. I believe the only thing that played a role in was the timing of the retirement announcement.
