NFL 2017-18 Season Coverage

We seem to do this thread each year. With the first games coming soon figure it's time to start the thread.

The Baltimore Ravens first preseason game is against the Washington Redskins on Thursday August 10*. Then they head to Miami to play the Dolphins on August 17. They return home on the 26 against the bills. Their preseason ends with a game against New Orleans.

The Ravens preseason broadcasters are WBAL, WJLA, WGAL, WMDT, WFXR, WWCW, and oddly KFVE in Hawaii. The Ravens had to add many OTA broadcasters due to the fact they didn't meet the terms and conditions to Comcast Sports Nets deal. But as always you can listen on the radio via WBAL 1090 and WIYY on 97.9.

*During these games WBFF and WNUV pickup the Redskins broadcast feed. They don't carry any other preseason games.

WTMJ and WGBA/Scripps still have the Packers preseason package as usual (along with the Quincy networks throughout the state, some other stations in surrounding states and oddly, Scripps' KMTV in Omaha and the ABC Alaska system), and this year no Olympics gymnastics in moving their games. This year though they also got the Family Night inter-squad scrimmage for the first time; it had been carried by the state's Fox affiliates (and because they have zero coordination, was always annoyingly chatty and poorly produced). With the radio team under the same management doing the scrimmage play-by-play this year though, it was much more professionally done.

Kevin Harlan and Rich Gannon are the play-by-players as usual, with NBC graphics and a CBS tech team.

The Packers will also be seen on KVRR is Fargo, ND and KDLT in Sioux Falls SD.

Its no real surprise the Packers TV Network is as big as it is, even in Alaska the Packers are the 2nd or 3rd favorite team. In the regular season the Packers are regularly seen 10+ times in these markets outside of Wisconsin.

The Panthers finally got updated to use the current ACC Network graphics.

Which are still bloated and ugly.

The Texans don't look much better. Bad font choice on top of a rip of the CBS graphics:

The novelty this year from the Cardinals is that they've ditched KNXV for KPNX. I don't expect a change in presentation, but I also don't expect much from channel 12 which has a special knack for turning anything into sugary mush.

HAWAII?! What does that have to do with B-More? Player from there? Coach from there? lol

I don't think so and KFVE carries ACC games.

Ravens seem to be the only constant.

After tonight's game they carry Patriots @ Jaguars.

After next Thursday's (8/17) Ravens game they have the Bills & Eagles.

On Saturday (8/19) they have Patriots @ Steelers followed by Packers @ Redskins

On Sunday (8/20) they have Falcons @ Steelers

Dolphins are using an odd variation of the old CBS graphics, which is even closer than normal to what it used to be. Also, your new Ravens look seems to match the stadium graphics like the Eagles do.

Falcons: Still CBS '13 (but using the college version now and a separate bug for CW69, it seems. Looks like they white-labeled things this year)

Bills: Actually do have something new, odd that they'd drop the nearly-perfect thing they had last year.

That team in the nation's capital, Broncos: Still NBC 2015/CSN

Jaguars and Browns: Old Thursday Night Football/NFL Network

Saints: Fox, again.

Packers: NBC 2015. And it's the SNF version of the scoreboard too.

Eagles: That glossy teal stuff again

The old NFL on CBS look on WFOR, the one before CBS' current look.

And that's basically it. Anyone know if this is a stock graphic or custom made?

You're going to laugh but those look like a slight modification of the current generation EA Sports Madden graphics.
