WSOC-TV Going to Launch "Telemundo Charlotte"

Announced today from CMG, WSOC-TV is going to Launch "Telemundo Charlotte" on channel 9.2 moving LaffTV on Channel 64.2. It'll be launched this summer on June 1st, and WSOC-TV is looking to launch a 30 minute newscast in the future.

I could see that newscast either at 4 or 7 pm.

Not likely unless they get permission from Telemundo to delay network programming. The network gives the 5-6:30pm block to the affiliates to air local newscasts, and of course the 11pm spot. If WSOC plans to add a newscast, it will either have to air live during that hour and a half or recorded to be aired at that time.

No way. Telemundo is on at those times. Al Rojo Vivo a las 4:00 and that's LIVE and Caso Cerrado: Edicion Estelar a las 7:00, both popular shows in the Telemundo network. No way will TMD allow WSOC to preempt those times for local news.
