WSB the Cox Communications flagship station screwed up big time by reporting that the National Weather Service posted a No Swim Advisiory in Okaloosa and Walton Coutines in he Florida Panhandle for the upcoming 4th of July (one of the few days that I can write dates how I like it as DD/MM/YYYY) weekend. It's worth noting that the NWS does not release any such warnings.

WSB's Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns reportedly said "really toxic levels of fecal bacteria," "toxic levels of blue-green algae" and said that it is "very dangerous to swim in these waters. They call tthis, the kind of, flesh-eating bacteria".

Because of his reports there have been reports of cancellations over this peak holiday weekend.

Plus what's he doing forecasting beach forecasts for down there?? Not his market, should't have said a damn thing.. He should've just said "pay attention to local forecasts when you get there... "

I wonder if it's a popular destination for Atlanta residents.
