One week after channel 7 Sunrise's revamp, channel 9's morning show gets its new look with brand new set and graphics. Also, Mornings become Today Extra similar to Today, Today's Take and KLG and Hoda on NBC.

Wow. it's like the producers saw Sunrise's set and thought "Yep, they're challenging us. we gonna need to change our look." and quickly went to work.

This begs the question.... who did better: Today or Sunrise?

A very big question indeed. I need a while to adjust.

Okay, I've adjusted.

The new Today set looks great, but it looks like the designers kept the bases and removed some things before replacing them with updates. The desk IMO is way better than the last one. That last one was too big to sit just four or five people. And the blue colored lights in the new desk just fits in with everything else.

Plus the design really reminds me of the logo of 90s sitcom Wings.

As for graphics, I think they're better than the last look because of the blues and whites added in to complement the oranges of the look, instead of so much orange, bits of yellow and a splash of blue.

Plus they are an exact duplicate of GMA's, especially in the open. It seems the Australian morning shows are following their American counterparts, and it's differing for me. Meh.

I'll say the new look of Today Australia is much better. And I LOVED the last look.
