MSNBC Shake Up

So... where is Thomas Roberts? Has he officially been axed from NBC/MSNBC? If so, that is very disappointing news. I thought they had big plans for him at one point...

According to his Twitter, he was on MSNBC this afternoon after Alex Witt.

Anyone think it’s somewhat cruel to have Ayman and Yasmin anchor so late in the day around the time they typically are getting ready for bed?

Thomas anchored for 2 hours after Alex. I am wondering if Thomas might get the Saturday evening shift: I thought they were expanding both weekend nights until 9

Ayman show is apparently called "The Breakdown" but not logo' d I wonder if it will be a slow roll out kinda like the The Point was. Yasmin's is being called the "Lets Go Beyond" not 100% sure on hers. But Ayman and others have all been calling his show The Breakdown.

Looks like First Look as been officially extended to a 4AM start time.

Only this week for the President's trip to Asia. They made the same call when he was in the middle east due to time changes and his schedule being off the standard-EDT time zone. Watch for it to return to 5AM next week.

"Apparently, the woman complained to CNBC executives that Matthews made inappropriate jokes and comments about her in front of others, that the matter was looked into and it was determined that the comments were inappropriate and in made in poor taste, but were never meant as propositions."

“In 1999 this matter was thoroughly reviewed and dealt with. At that time Matthews received a formal reprimand,” an MSNBC spokesperson told the parent company in an email on Saturday.

Chris Matthews was accused of sexual assault in 1999.

Whoa. Sexual harassment is not sexual assault.

If I had to guess I'd say Chris Matthews is about to be out of a job...

MSNBC Contributor James Peterson - next one to fall...

Lehigh professor resigns amid sexual misconduct allegations

Jacqueline Palochko Of The Morning Call

A Lehigh University faculty member has resigned amid an investigation that eventually found “sufficient cause” of sexual misconduct, according to a university email from the provost’s office.

The faculty member was identified as James Braxton Peterson, according to an email to faculty and staff sent today.

According to the email viewed by The Morning Call, Lehigh was made aware of allegations and other misconduct against Peterson on Nov. 7.

He was placed on leave and not permitted on campus, the email said.

An investigation by the university showed allegations of misconduct were made by “multiple individuals against Dr. Peterson,” according to the email.

After receiving the reports but prior to provost Patrick Farrell’s formal decision, Peterson informed the university he was unconditionally resigning his position immediately, the email said.

While Peterson’s resignation made disciplinary action moot, the email says Farrell, following his own review of the investigative findings, determined there was sufficient cause to initiate the process that could result in revocation of tenure and termination of employment.
