rkolsen 1675
Today msnbc launched a new online network called shift. From what I've read shift will be used by msnbc to cultivate new talent and contributors so they can grow their skills and maybe get a shot at contributing on msnbc. My internet connection is spotty right now but from what I have seen it appears there will be different schedules each day.
ToriElectra 291
Didn't expect this; there was no warning. Almost seems like their attempt at a counterpart to CBSN. It does fit the network, considering they started with internet in their DNA.
10Viewer 319
Does anyone else think 'shift' is a bad name? I can see the potential for some gaffes.
24994J 5269
Their tagline/hashtag is #shifthappens, so yes, someone's gonna screw up.
rkolsen 1675
Looking back I guess I should have guessed that they were going to start producing an online video channel. On election night msnbc ran a looser election return show with Krystal Ball and Ari Melber from The Cycle. I kind of was expecting that the production of the show would be automated but by some Instagram posts it appears the are using a full control room. http://instagram.com/p/wodkqCpjnW/
mre29 1338
Does anyone else think 'shift' is a bad name? I can see the potential for some gaffes. Forget the gaffes. They pretty much handed the haters a ready-made pejorative.
