I Was looking at KDVR- TV in Denver. And it appears that they have a new website and on the bottom it reads Tribune Broadcasting, Its a WordPress site... and I Like it its a mash between the Local tv websites and the Tribune sites. Check it out at kdvr.com

That's interesting. You'd think that the former Local TV stations would have adopted the existing Wordpress layout being used by the stations Tribune already owned, that design is only about a year-and-a-half old. I'm guessing that this will replace those sites over time, or is it just going to be the new layout for the stations it bought from Local TV (at least, at first)?

All Tribune sites, including the former LocalTV sites, use Wordpress VIP. I would prefer this design over the LocalTV design and the current Tribune design. (Although it was a massive improvement from the Tribune Interactive designs from 2009, the LocalTV design is starting to look dated, plus it is not responsive.)

Wouldn't shock me if this is a new group-wide layout, and KDVR/KWGN were the test stations.

We helped craft the design the Local TV stations would use after that sale. I thought it was terrific at the time, a much better use of space. But, mobile is the way to go. As I sit here on my tablet, it's much easier to navigate KDVR's new layout over my station.

Unless you don't have a tablet. I'll take my Galaxy SIII over a difficult to carry tablet. And in that case, viewing the full site is pathetic. The mobile sites only have a quarter of the content deliverer.

I am predicting that WNEP will be next. The webpage title on the homepage matches those of the new Trib sites (it reads "WNEP.com | News, Weather & Sports from WNEP-TV - Proud to Serve Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania"), rather than those of the old sites (which would just be "WNEP.com").

And as for who's last, it'll probably be WJW. Because...it's WJW.

WGHP has also made the switch.

KTVI St. Louis switched http://fox2now.com/

KFOR OKC switched http://kfor.com/ and KAUT http://freedom43tv.com/

WREG Memphis switched http://wreg.com/

WJW, WITI, KFSM, WHNT, WHO, and WQAD have yet to switch.

as always WJW will be last to switch.

Add all the legacy Tribune stations that need to switch, too (as KDAF has also made the switch). That would also include WGN/720, WGN.fm and TheGameChicago.com, and I have a feeling those will be "the last."
