Yankees4life 439
What in the blue hell, WLTF? This is a bad knockoff of the O&Os graphics Edited March 15, 2021 by 24994J Corrected the call letters

Yankees4life 439
Looks like NTV Canada is took the EWN font from WABC
JosephH1998 13
It seems like the 1998 KLAX graphics is a knockoff on the Hearst-Argyle camera mandate (Hearst is the second largest owner of ABC stations behind Allbritton).
tyrannical bastard 2697
What in the Edward Willis Scripps is this... WDTV? 4
SteveKendall 29
Is WDTV pining to be an ABC affiliate? It's still better than the WEWS logo.

Especially how the top of the "5" overlaps the circle. Is Morgantown still part of the Pittsburgh market? I'm sure that's an area the Clarksburg/Fairmont/Weston stations want to themselves.

tw-804 180
Along with their new logo, they're using the blue-and-white version of WTVY's graphics just like WHSV.

Weird... because they are using their old logo on their website.
Payton39 23
Yeah, that's an oddly specific description of their area. Also, I feel like the strokeweight of the Circle 5 logo is different at 0:10 and 0:36. Maybe my eyes fail me, though.
froyo49 152
For some reason, I'm getting low-rent WSVN vibes. The overly edited headline tease, the gaudy 3D animations, the presenters introducing themselves before the main title sequence, the guy pointing at the camera (that's how you know he's serious), and even the "news station" branding and circle logo. I may just be overthinking it though.

Some small markets just need to act their size and not look more out of place by ripping off a look and feel that is NOT anything close to what could pass off as something original and more authentic to the area. Duc4TVNewsTalk 47
WESH's "NewsCenter 2" graphics in the 1970s were a knockoff of the O&O graphics used by WNBC in New York, WMAQ in Chicago and WRC in Washington, D.C., despite in all fact, being that it was not an O&O. KnoxvilleTVFan 276
I am bumping this thread, because I want to mention something I came across. WVLT-TV in Knoxville, back in 2001, used what may be a knock-off of the Hearst-Argyle station graphics package. You can view the WVLT open at 37:09.
