I'm seeing an additional 10am ET hour of GMA. I don't see a live bug on screen, so not sure if it's pre-redorded during the 9a ET hour when affiliates are airing local morning news, or if it's a repeat of the 8 a.m. ET hour?

Even though a good chunk of the country air it at 8am/ET, GMA Weekend is produced live at 7am/ET. The second hour Saturday show is produced live at 8am/ET.

So when you see GMA's 2nd hour on Saturdays, it is definitely tape delayed. But its not a repeat of the first hour.

Weekend GMA anchor Dan Harris announced his departure from the network this morning. Last day is 2 months from now. One wonders if this is a natural spot for Phil Lipof to assume?

Such a shame to see Dan Harris leaving. He was at ABC News for a long time. I remember the days when he was ABC World News's weekend anchor. Best of luck at 10 percent.

Former GMA exec being sued for sexual misconduct, toxic work environment... First of many?

Here is more reporting, with more context from the plaintiff’s lawsuit. The FOX article, which quotes an “ABC insider” saying George Stephanopolous did nothing, is at odds with the actual lawsuit which says he notified managers and encouraged the victim to go to an ABC attorney but she ultimately decided not to come forward at the time.

I personally hate Fox’s reporting on other media outlets. They take a very obvious subjective stance against other personalities that they deem “liberal media.”

Yeah, well, I thought posting a version of the story that didn't have a paywall would be better so people can actually read it.

According to the latest WSJ reporting, George Stephanopolous has said the lawsuit is correct in its account of his actions notifying ABC lawyers.

Meanwhile, Disney/ABC executives were caught off guard by ABC News President Kim Godwin’s call for an independent investigation.

Disney unsuccessfully tried to settle the claims through mediation in June, reports WSJ.

Daily Beast reporting that Robin and George are at odds over comments Robin made on a staff call after the reports / lawsuits surfaced. ABC says the two have discussed the comments and are fine. Safe to say tensions are high.

Will see how much longer they both last together.

Dan Harris signed off from GMA and ABC News for the final time this morning. He’ll be sorely missed!

Any bets on who will move into his spot? I feel like Phil Lipof makes sense to at least get a shot but could also see names like Will Reeve, Janai Norman and Matt Barrie of ESPN getting additional shots at filling in.

Does anyone know the reason GMA seems to prerecord so many of their first hour interviews? Whether it’s a medical expert or today’s William Shatner interview, it always seems to be prerecorded.

How is this bad? Nobody really breaks news during publicity interviews, and maybe a few of these people just aren't morning people excited to walk into a crowd yelling at them in Times Square at 7:30 in the morning. S&P also loves it; fewer opportunities for Jane Fonda to lay a C-bomb, because it's simply edited out before it goes out. 😂

Especially now, you need publicity tours and appearances to be a well-oiled machine. The less time someone outside a show's bubble is in the building, the better for everyone, which is how you got Taylor Swift last night on Fallon and Seth Meyers without a sweat.
