I usually watch NBC10, but decided to try 3 this morning. After a one minute "eye opener" at 6:30, the remainder of the half hour was fluff. They repeated twice that a new casino had opened in Atlantic City and that it was free WAWA hoagie day downtown.

I don't think this will be the last of the firings. I think more will happen. Changes has to be made with CBS 3's news division, period.

Even though Nicole said she left on her own, i agree there needs to be a massive reorganization/firings

Alexandria Hoff filled in on the 5 to 6:30 PM news tonight co-anchoring with Ukee.

CBS3 needs more male anchors. The station only has 2, and one was converted from a sports guy, the other from a consumer reporter.

Joe Holden fills in as anchor sometimes on CBS3.

I know, but there needs to be at least a 3rd male. Ukee should not be doing 4 newscasts in the evenings. Maybe give the 5 and 10 to someone else like Joe, and even give Jessica a rest too. I’m sure Natasha Brown has wanted a promotion for years, she’s one of the most tenured people at the station right now.

I agree expand the male bench plus why not split the anchors and give them 2 shows

I wish CBS 3 had more relevant news for where I am. But then again, that's more an issue of no news popping up for here in general. It's ironic because "here" is a part of Philadelphia. Besides that I really like the station.

Also, I'm new here. Hi everyone.

Just throwing this out there... it's been 10 years since the Larry Mendte/Alycia Lane drama.

They were probably last at that time and the scandal only led KYW's ratings to further continue into freefall. They haven't recovered since and may remain last for the remainder of its history.

Actually, I think they were at a consistent 2nd, but I may be wrong.

IIRC the Mendte / Lane era propelled KYW to a competitive 2nd in the evening. This was also around the time Zucker was running NBC pre-Comcast (the "NBC 2.0" era) which trickled to the O&Os, hurting WCAU.

KYW had a LONG way to climb from where it was prior to Mendte, but I do wonder how they would have fared had that not happened, and the team as assembled was still there.

And it won't shock me if CBS decides to suspended or cease news operations at the station. CBS shouldn't be spending money on a news operation that's in last place.

I don’t think it’s that easy. The product may suck but we must remember that this is the pioneer of the Eyewitness News format with a rich legacy. You can’t just throw all of that away.
