Weeters 1749
With the start of the fall TV season right around the corner, a couple of stations are either in the process of overhauling their looks or have already done so. C Block 1476
CNN International is also getting one in London, if anyone's interested in that. They've either been on a temporary set or sent anchors to other bureaux for a few weeks now.

WFTV Channel 9 80
KAMC in Lubbock has new graphics and a new logo. They are using WKRC's graphics. My best guess is that they switched sometime this month.
sanewsguy 509
KAMC in Lubbock has new graphics and a new logo. They are using WKRC's graphics. My best guess is that they switched sometime this month. As I noted in the WPTY thread on August 16th: Somewhat old news, but KAMC is now using the WATN graphics when they made the conversion to HD. They made the switch back in July and I'm surprised I'm just now learning that. Sister station KLBK is using the WROC HD graphics which are a step up from the bastardized version of the CBS O&O graphics they were using previously... https://www.facebook.com/KAMCNews
NewsStar2 90
KTUL in Tulsa started using a new graphics package about a week ago. They also tweaked some of the cuts of Eyewitness News they're using. They're still in a transitional phase since some of the weather and franchise graphics are using the previous look. Much of a 5 PM newscast from earlier this week can be seen here.

Interesting how KTUL continues to escape the Allbritton graphics curse that has befallen WBMA and KATV. They could be a bit better about picking a standard typeface though—I've noticed a few lower-thirds are set in Eurostile while most of them seem to be in Arial or some other sans-serif. But overall, not a bad look.

mark 55
I've been meaning to comment on KTUL's graphics. The morning show actually uses its own variation of the graphics (see here). To me, its one of the best examples of how to differentiate a morning show's brand while remaining consistent with the brand as a whole. About the "standard" Allbritton package, here's what I've been told: The graphics were designed by VDO for the Allbritton stations getting ready to go HD. (This obviously excluded WJLA.) All stations receiving the graphics had input, but KATV sort of took a lead on this project. KTUL did receive this package but decided to go their own way with it. The graphics they did debut were actually based loosely off the Allbritton HD package. (This is only really evident in some of the shapes used and a few background elements.) sanewsguy 509
The fonts in KTUL's graphics are all over the place. Some of it is Eurostile, some Arial, some the custom ABC font. There's really no consistency with the fonts. Overall though, it's a nice look. Except the "On the Phone" graphic. Yuck. All stations receiving the graphics had input, but KATV sort of took a lead on this project. Ah, that explains why the Allbritton graphics look a lot like KATV's old SD graphics (similar shapes, similar colors, similar fonts). KATV also executes it the best. TexasTVNews 1365
I've watched KTVT CBS 11 News earlier tonight and it looks like that there are in a temporary news set. It seems to believe that CBS 11 is getting a new set, so anything new from KTVT, you'll be the first to know.
NewsStar2 90
Well, I was a few months off, but rather than introduce a new graphics package outright, KWCH tweaked their existing one. The weather graphics were the first part, but slowly new full-screen elements appeared over the summer. New segment opens & intros were rolled out this week. They generally don't look all that far off from the original package though.

CAnewsjunkie 6
KSNV in Las Vegas finally picked up Look F. Their morning show doesn't have traditional opens, just voice over a live shot, but the rest of the graphics are there. Waiting for their noon newscast to be uploaded to see more. Newscasts on demand here: http://www.mynews3.com/content/video/ondemand/default.aspx Not sure why they're not on the new set yet, but their website has a gallery of a station event with a few glimpses of the new digs: http://www.mynews3.com/media/lib/166/9/4/0/94095966-79c7-4d64-9055-82175641b75e/Original.jpg http://www.mynews3.com/media/lib/166/1/b/d/1bd60c80-8342-4757-9b65-4e9e7d8eb802/Original.jpg http://www.mynews3.com/media/lib/166/d/d/d/dddb5795-8f2e-448f-9d0f-a1a7e4187139/Original.jpg Looks like an updated newsroom: http://www.mynews3.com/media/lib/166/3/b/1/3b1d1e7b-cd01-4fca-8cfc-0f789e0dbb32/Original.jpg

CAnewsjunkie 6
KSNV's noon newscast is now up, with the Look F show open. Sounds like they have that new Gari cut we heard recently. http://www.mynews3.com/mediacenter/local.aspx?videoID=4350109 EDIT: KSNV did debut their new hourlong 7p newscast last night and along with it came the new set. Looks good, if a bit small? Any ideas who designed it?Also, it looks like their morning show was back on the old set this morning. 11p: http://www.mynews3.com/mediacenter/local.aspx?videoID=4354693 Their noon today is now on the new set, but it's spun around so that the newsroom is their background: http://www.mynews3.com/mediacenter/local.aspx?videoID=4355491
