Weeters 1683
Although it was primarily used for sports coverage, NBC's "Football Night in America" set in saw several months of use as the temporary home to NBC Nightly News in 2007 and was used for NBC's election coverage in 2008 and 2010. The set's 8 year history came to an end within the last few weeks, when Studio 8G was cleared so work can begin transforming the space for "Late Night with Seth Meyers". Flickr user DennisDegan has posted photos of the set-less (though not exactly empty) 8G here and here. Earlier this year, NBC made it clear that Football Night in America would remain at 30 Rock, despite the rest of NBC's sports division moving to the NBC Sports Network facilities in Stamford, CT. It's unknown what is happening with that plan now. Click here to view the article
Guest Jared
I looked at building permits, and they've been constructing and deconstructing sets on the 6th and 7th floors, maybe they're moving to one of these sets?
ElliotJones 52
Wow, didn't realize that's a pretty decently sized studio.
anthonyz 26
Looks like 6B is dismantled as well for Tonight Show, it's in the same photoset. Fallon has been in 6A since last week.

Fallon has been in repeats since they left 6B a week ago Friday. 6A hasn't officially been used, except for a few skits that last night.
Spring Rubber 592
Wow, didn't realize that's a pretty decently sized studio. Well, they did have that "screening room" part of the studio that was used heavily during the first year of Football Night in America; not sure if they continued to use it or if they repurposed it during the final years; there's usually always another game still on CBS/Fox while FBNIA is on, so I never really watched the show for the past few years. tvnewsjunkie 6
could they be moving to WNBC's former studio 7E? Its is a decent size for the program and you could eaisly close off the newsroom from the set
Spring Rubber 592
They're still on the same set tonight. Did they move the set to a different studio?
WCAUTVNBC10 407
They're still on the same set tonight. Did they move the set to a different studio? They just moved it to a new studio. They're moving to Connecticut next season
Weeters 1683
I've heard rumblings that it's in 8H until SNL starts up. It could probably stay in there until next year if they can figure out a way to break it down and set it up quickly.
