CircleSeven 1944
Fast forward to three years later (now under Pai), it has now been greenlighted as of Monday (2/27). Parker can finally close its books. The long-awaited KFQX deal to Mission is finally OVER! Parker. Speaking of KLAF, looks like they're under going some kind of change. Has anyone checked about the big change that is happening to KLAF?It's supposed to be happening today. (April 3rd) New set maybe? Or new everything? And it appears the they'd tweaked with the existing set. All the Nexstar-styled gfx were replaced with different gfx package. Their newscast is under the News 15 branding. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1897605650480019 https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1897424867164764
Greggo 337
KLFY also has a chopper (Sky 10); it has been in use since at least the mid-80s! The only times it's ever used nowadays are for either post-hurricane coverage or for events like a natural gas well blowout in 2007 which caused Interstate 10 between Baton Rouge and Lafayette to be closed for a week and a half. Once "Sky 10" goes, it'll be the end of a long run. KLFY doesn't really have a helicopter of its own. They have a deal where they get to ride on Acadian Ambulance's medical helicopter to shoot video for big stories, provided it's not needed to transport patients. They used to promote the hell out of it. Doesn't sound like it's being used as much anymore.
A3N 996
Is there 1 Nexstar station that has or has been allowed to keep it's chopper?
Samantha 2873
That "News 15" brand looks cheap. Like, movie-level cheap.

Eat News 4738
Yeah, but how long though is the question......... It may be when the allotted air hours are used up. Many stations have a pre-set number of air hours per year they budget. Most likely tied to that budget

Mrtraveler01 737
That "News 15" brand looks cheap. Like, movie-level cheap. Basically they're copying their new (and reunited) sister station up in Evansville. It looks like the same set and graphics WEVV uses.
CircleSeven 1944
I actually like how they modified that "Nexstar set" with those solid colors (instead of multiple bright colors that went all over the place). The modifications is a vast improvement than what they had last year, in which they started its in-house news operation (4/1/16). Plus, it looks like its everything KADN and not KLAF like under the previous branding.

newsn8te 189
The graphics are the same but the set is completely different from WEVV, as WEHT/WTVW have the Nexstar set. Honestly, they should've waited a another year or two to change the branding, music, graphics, set, etc.. since it only premiered about a year ago. newsn8te 189
Looks like they're still using the old NBC graphics for weather? I saw a video on their Facebook that's uses a toned down version of the yellow weather open, and saw this picture on their twitter. Darius22 120
I realized the graphics for NHK World Newsline looks strikingly similar to WISH-TV's Graphics.

Seems almost like a trade, since WKRG/WFNA's former GM is now heading up WSFA.

Since he's not in the syndicated biz, Sook was never for it to begin with.

Action Newsroom 1138
Also, is anyone surprised by this news? Hollywood Today Live will end production at the end of the month (4/28). I'm surprised it lasted this long, despite the fact it aired in small markets and that--even after all this time--I still barely know what it is. It still has no Wikipedia page, for corn's sake! (not that it needs one now.)
