It will air on Wednesday's, and possibly will return to an earlier timeslot. It has also been cut down to 16 episodes per season for the next 3 seasons, concluding in 2010. And "Private Practice" drew 21 million viewers. As for the schedule, it seems like ABC is trying to go for the hip, edgy, trendy 20-something type of shows, stuff that the WB was doing in the late-90s. They tried it this season and it's not working. I credit them for thinking outside the box, but they should do this one at a time, and not all at once.
