Lost is being held until February '08 so that it can run uninterrupted until season's end. It will air on Wednesday's, and possibly will return to an earlier timeslot.

It has also been cut down to 16 episodes per season for the next 3 seasons, concluding in 2010.

I think ABC should have been more clear about that in their Press Release...

I love the concept myself and we will be watching it in my office in July. I can't wait to see it.

(I work in the television industry, so we get the perk of viewing pilots before the season starts.)

i like Private Practice... it has a very diverse cast... but i'm saddened at the canceling of George Lopez

I thought Pirvate Practice was horrilbe when they previewed on Grey's Anatomy. A lot of fans agree that is was bad on ABC.com message boards. I don't think it will be as BIG as Grey's Anatomy is.

Where's "According to Jim?!"

Its fate is still up in the air. I think it's scheduled for midseason.

And "Private Practice" drew 21 million viewers.

As for the schedule, it seems like ABC is trying to go for the hip, edgy, trendy 20-something type of shows, stuff that the WB was doing in the late-90s. They tried it this season and it's not working.

I credit them for thinking outside the box, but they should do this one at a time, and not all at once. Let one show catch on, then try another and another and another...

And I think edgy was ABC's traditional emphasis (before FOX).
