Weeters 1749
While a heat wave continues across parts of the US, some television stations are bound to get creative in their coverage. One that sticks out in particular is an attempt made by Milwaukee's WTMJ on Tuesday to bake cookies in a parked car sitting in the sun. Click here to see photos the station posted to it's website. It was only 80 degrees in the car when the tray of cookie dough was placed inside, and in just a few short hours, the car's internal temperature exceeded 140 degrees (maxing out the thermometer) and the dough began to take on a more cookie-like shape. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear the station has posted the video of the cookie "taste test" conducted during the 6PM news. We'll keep you updated if they do. C Block 1476
Ah, the age-old local news conundrum....it's so easy to show when it's freezing, but how to convey that it's boiling on-air...hmm...
