nynewslover 269
Christina Park in for Rosanna yesterday, now Dari in today. Greg/Dari GDNY - most awful edition ever. Yeah you're not kidding. I actually felt sorry for Greg. She's the only one who brings the show down like that. Usually Greg can make comments and whoever is there will laugh or respond. But not her. I just wish they wouldn't have those damn celebrity co-hosts during the 9:00 hour especially Bethanny.
ABC 7 Denver 1494
Why are the anchors on FOX5 always using the scroll wheel on that mouse pad? I don't notice anchors on the other newscasts doing anything similar. http://i.imgbox.com/abfDY95r.png Is it a clever way to scroll the teleprompter? IceManNYR 201
FOX5 added a #MYFOXNY hash tag above the logo that does not fit with the graphics layout and is not needed. They do the same thing for GDNY.
anchorman 93
The weekend version of FOX 5 News @ 10 is so much better than the weekday version. Christina Park and Audrey Puente are great. Even Antwan is becoming tolerable, he just needs to show a little more personality.
tvnewsjunkie 6
did they change their newsroom debrief location because i saw a report with Sharon crawly where they used a different angle and some new light fixtures. is this temporary or is this the new spot? nynewslover 269
The new newsroom set up is really nice. I like it alot. Is it possible that they did it in preparation to use it as a temp set if they redo their studio anytime soon? Or did they just do it cause it needed to be done? tvnewsjunkie 6
theres no doubt they will be getting a new set in the near future so it could be in prep for the switch
anchorman 93
Haven't seen the new newsroom set up yet, but I hope it signals they will be getting a new studio soon.
tvnewsjunkie 6
just watched the ending to the 10pm news and they closed with a wide shot from a studio cam mounted on the ceiling. I might be stretching it but is it possible this camera is in place for a time lapse video of a new set installation?

Idk but they used to have the coolest camera shots/angels then they stopped for a while.. It seems they're bringing them back somewhat.. The past 2 nights they did the closing shot from a camera very low to the ground it was pretty cool.
tvnewsjunkie 6
i noticed their new lineup for shows has chained. is this on all fox affiliates?
IceManNYR 201
I've noticed something odd when Juliet Huddy is off. Anna Gilligan co-anchors 4:30am-5am then Kerry Drew co-anchors 5am-7am.

I might be stretching it but is it possible this camera is in place for a time lapse video of a new set installation? Generally speaking, the cameras stations use for timelapse set install videos are cheap webcams. Not all the time, but I wouldn't think that a new camera angle is a sign of a new set. In fact, I'd say the opposite, because why bother to hang a camera if a few weeks down the road you won't be able to use it for a month while a new set goes in. fox5fan 17
Teresa Priolo is now a full time reporter for Fox 5, not freelance anymore. http://www.mediabistro.com/tvspy/on-the-move-91813_b104380 Random, but this leads me to ask the question, with having so many "staff members" who is freelance and who is full time. I'd assume (at this point) based on this article Teresa 100% is a full timer, Audrey Puente (just an assumption) and Juliet Huddy are all probably full time and not freelance because they are regulars. Why don't they have bios on the website? Then... Lidia Curanaj has been there for 3-4? years.... Is she full or freelance? And Sharon Crowley is always filling in at the desk... but is she only freelance as well?
IceManNYR 201
Kinda sad if they knew before the interview that Jenna Jameson was not all there and still put her on the air. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/jenna-jameson-appears-disoriented-slurs-words-tv-interview-article-1.1492722
anchorman 93
They have re-done their social ticker so it's now above the FOX5 logo, fades in between Facebook, Twitter, myfoxNY.com links. Not as fast as the other stations, it's definitely better done than both WCBS and WABC.
NYNewser_676 26
It looks so strange because it's just text floating- they should have some sort of box around it like WNBC & WABC
NYNewser_676 26
Or have it built into the L3 graphic like WCBS
nynewslover 269
I think their social media bug looks the best out of all the NYC stations.. Not great but better than the rest
NYNewser_676 26
If the WABC one didn't have that weird swivel animation, the box itself isn't that bad- it's just the swivel!!

WABC's looks awful either way because of the time/temp bug on top of the logo. The whole right corner of their screen looks bad right now. nynewslover 269
Did anyone see the news at 6:00 today? It was a diff format with Steve walking around the studio and very cool camera angles. I liked it a lot.. Not sure when they started this or if tonight was the first night but I hope they keep it up.. If anyone has screen shots please post
fox5fan 17
They started it about a week and a half ago. Very refreashing approach to the news. Its still "newsy" but more visually appealing.
tvnewsjunkie 6
has anyone seen the new "twitter ticker" during the 10?
