John Marshall is doing weather this morning. He implied that he will be on for the next few months, filling in for Vanessa Murdock, who will be handling weekend PMs while Elise Finch is out on maternity leave.

John commented that this is his third stint at the station. I guess the first was when he handled weekend mornings between Megan Glaros's departure and Katie Fehlinger's arrival, and then a few years ago when he returned during Vanessa Murdock's maternity leave.

In case it's not obvious, the part with the drop-down weather monitor is also virtual. Yes, CBS 2 is still using chromakey for weather but does a pretty good job of making it look like part of their studio.

So apparently CBS is getting into the whole virtual weather graphics thing too...

KOVR did that but not with weather. they did it during news headlines.

Are any CBS O&O stations formatting newscasts for 16:9?

Not at WFOR and its the only English-language station in my market that does so. The rest (WTVJ, WSVN and WPLG) are formatted in 16:9

The Spanish stations aren't... at least as of now.
