Yes, she is obviously the replacement for Kat. She posted on Instagram that Gaby will be happy since he doesn't have to get up early anymore.

Personally, it would be good to have 3 reporters in the AM for TINY. Gaby is a very good reporter. Don't know his personal circumstances, but having Romney, Tracy and Gaby in the AM's would blend very well for TINY.

Romney Smith has made her first appearance on TINY & News at 11AM.

Jessica Cunnington from News 12 Bronx is now with NBC4. Her first report was yesterday.

Both actually reported on the 5 pm and 6 pm news since Monday.  Are they full time or per diem?

Natalie co-anchoring with Adam right now at 5pm. This is the first time the 5pm has had two anchors since Stacey Bell left in March 2020.

Although, this could just be for today. No word this is permenant.

During bad weather they have done this before including a couple of weeks ago (including using Gilma).  No way would Natalie working 4,5,6,7 and 11 become permanent.

That would be OVERKILL for Natalie.  This was only for storm coverage.

Agreed, they ended up extending through noon, over Days of our Lives.

What was interesting with WNBC's coverage is that they sent Chopper 4 deep into South Jersey and had crew on the ground in Gloucester County, normally CAU territory. It was good to see WNBC covering a good chunk of deep southern jersey where most of time the coverage area is usually up to Trenton and Hamilton Township to the south and close to Union Township and Delaware Water Gap to the north.

Interesting that WNBC is picking up Thursday Night Football, tomorrow night's NFL Network telecast.

Is the production still being produced by FOX? If so, odd that WNYW or WWOR did not take it.

Also, they are airing the Brooklyn Nine Nine finale at 7, ahead of anyone else and moving Law & Order reruns to COZI, which is listed as being in HD, but lately the picture has been really grainy and fuzzy.

WNBC once again placed the ad in this year's film guide for that year's Hamptons International Film Festival. They reuse last year's ad with David and Natalie, in which the former replacing Stefan Holt in the 4 and 11PM newscast one year ago. they also not mentioned the reintroduced 7PM newscast when the two are co-anchors.

The home station for the Giants is WNBC and the Jets are on WCBS-TV. The only way WNYW would carry it if it's airing on the Fox network. This year through 2023, TNF is exclusive to Amazon Prime with simulcast on OTA TV Stations in the local teams' DMA

The local team contracts for pre-season now include any games exclusive to cable or streaming (NFLN, ESPN or Amazon).  In the past those used to be bid locally separate which is why they ended up on PIX 11.  That has changed.  I believe this is the last year Fox will produce the TNF games and broadcast a limited number of them.

Ugh, and it's 11:06 and the game still has "six" minutes left, which probably means it won't be over until at least 11:30. Amusingly, the news was supposed to be on at the regular time. I hate football season with the late running games.

Update - the game ended over an hour late. Almost as pathetic as the Giants losing again.

Football often runs over.  Sundays.  Sunday nights.  Thursdays.  And even college games on Saturday.  Nothing unusual about that.

The last time NBC cut away from an NFL game, we now call that game the Heidi Bowl. Unfortunately, News 4 New York, barring severe weather had to wait them out.

And it sucks whenever it happens (even worse when they say "wait we have another game to switch to!"). Sorry for the rant.
