bostonmediaguy 122
Interestingly, WBZ's Patriots pre- and post-game programs (Patriots Gameday and Patriots 5th Quarter, respectively) have adopted a new graphics package which combines the previous simplistic look and the current bulky standardization. It would be nice if it gravitated towards newscasts as well.
Rusty Muck 4139
Isn't WJZ-TV the ONLY CBS O&O remaining that still has their own distinct graphics package and news theme? As a matter of fact, IT IS the only one left! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT7MxOND6g8 Chroma Cues has literally been JZ's anthem since 1987, and is deeply associated with the station's late, legendary star anchor Al Sanders. Ditching it would be equivalent to WPVI's 1996 disastrous remaster of MCTYW with the London Philharmonic, or worse. And CBS probably knows it. (Yes, I know WLNY uses First News, but they still have the standard CBS O&O "Arial" graphics, and is a recent purchase/re-launch, so I don't count them here.) MidwestTV 1173
Yeah you know I've always wondered how select stations were able to get out of certain standardizing regulation crap.
