xmattx 0 Posted November 12, 2011 Share Posted November 12, 2011 Starting Nov 21st Randene Neil and Squire Barnes will move to News Hour Final, Jill Krop will move to reporting for the News Hour so she can spend more time at home with her son and Sohpie Lui will now Anchor the Noon News Hour she will also stay on the Morning News. Lynn Collior will return to host the Saturday and Sunday Morning News along with Weekend Noon News Hour as she is returning from maternity leave soon. xmattx 0 Posted November 12, 2011 Author Share Posted November 12, 2011 its all because Jill Krop wants to work less to spend time with her son so they have to shuffle things around, Jill is one of the better anchors in town so doubt they would of forced this on her. Having Steve Darling and Sophie Lui working Monday through Friday together will be better then the split shift they were working. Its also nice that Lynn Colliar is back working part time anchoring weekends. Though Sophie Lui has a long day doing mornings and afternoons. ED2 144 Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 It was strange for Global BC to have Sophie and Steve split the weekend shifts, resulting in only 3 days in the week where the Morning News is double-anchored. Nice to see the station hire someone to do the weekend morning/noon news exclusively.
