Best Voiceover Artists

John B Wells - I have NEVER heard him do a bad voiceover. Period. It's a shame WFAA dropped him. KOB/Alboquerque used him when they adopted the Evolution musical theme? ???

Scott Chapin - KDFW has used him for years. I like him.

Vic Caroli - If he does this good a job:

Is there really anything more to say?

Al Vanik - His best work, I think, was the WTVJ voiceover.

Those are my picks, I'd like to know yours.

Thanks ;D

Don LaFontaine - One of the greatest voiceovers of all time when it comes to movies, good news v/o too.

"From the heart of the Tri-State Area, street-level on 5th Avenue..."

"From FOX 13, the most powerful name in Local News, this is NewsEdge at Eleven."

Agreed.

Matt Bisbee - Great voice. I'm surprised more stations don't use him! I am also a firm believer that he picks up where Roger Thompson leaves off (Compare WISN Image news opens 2 and 3 @ NMSA and you'll hear what I mean).

Al Vanik - See above posts.

Chuck Conners - I was very saddened when WITI replaced him with Roberta Solomon.

Chris Clausen------Liked his WBAY VO's. The guy they have there now sounds a lot like him, but as far as I'm concerned, Chris is THE voice of WBAY.

Doug Paul----I watched a lot of the Bozo Show[!] as a kid, and thus, always heard his WGN VO's. Great, distinct voice.

Greg O'Neill----As far as I'm concerned, the definitive "Fox voice".

Roger Thompson, Matt Bisbee----WISN has used the former for years, now they use the latter. The average listener couldn't tell the difference. Very distinct voices.

Ernie Anderson----Ummmmmm.....need I explain?

Fred Facey, Don Pardo----the golden greats among NBC staff announcers. Pardo needs no explanation, but as for Facey, I've always liked his [no longer used] "Today" VO's.

Who does the voice over of FNC? ???

Wish I knew. I believe he also did WLUK's old VO's. And whoever that was, you can add him to the above list.

Greg O' Neill, also the voice (or now, one of the voices) for stations like WVEC.

Oh, well, I guess I was being a little redundant then....

Anyone know who DID do WLUK's previous VO's?

I agree with you except for Parker (good for trailers but don't care for his news stuff).

David Kaye

Let's see Eric actually DO some good work.

At least someone agrees with me!! Thanks.

No...I think he means

"Let's hear him actually do some good work" (Obviously he doesn't think Eric Gordon does good work, which no offense, but you seem to be the only one he does)

This ain't good work.

"This is NewsChannel 10. On Your Side at Sex."

I could really go on and on about his bad work, but we'd all be dead by time I'd get done.

Lol. Wow.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but I'm another person who likes

Eric Gordon's work.

While I don't think he's the best voice-over, I don't consider his

work unacceptable, regardless of what another may hear.

Exactly. That was intended as a dare.
