LocalNewsTalk.net ("LocalNewsTalk", "LNT". Formerly Known As "TVNewsTalk.net"/"TVNewsTalk"/"TVNT".) provides its Services to you, the User, under the Terms of Service ("Terms", "ToS") set forth here. When using the Services, you are subject to these Terms, and usage of the Services indicates acceptance of the Terms. If you do not agree to the terms, you must cease use of LocalNewsTalk.net and its Services immediately.
1. Site Content:
By accessing the site, you agree that all content on the Services is the responsibility of the person from which the content originated. You agree that neither Local News Talk, nor its sponsors or affiliates, are responsible for any content that you contribute. Local News Talk does not directly control any content posted to our Services, and cannot vouch for or warrant the accuracy or completeness of any Content uploaded to our Services.
You agree that while using our Services, you may be exposed to content that is offensive or objectionable, and that you will in no way hold Local News Talk nor its sponsors or affiliates liable in any way, shape, or form for any harm or loss that may come to you or others as a result of viewing this content.
2. Accounts and Registration:
In order to view messages on Local News Talk, no registration is required or necessary. In order to post messages and use other site Services, you must register with Local News Talk. Local News Talk does not require users to use their real name, or any other identification that can be traced to them, to register on our Services. Users must provide a valid e-mail address to verify their account, which will be kept private, unless the user opts into sharing this information publicly.
All Users must be at least 16 years of age. Users found to be below 16 years of age will immediately have their account terminated. Local News Talk does not knowingly collect any information from users under 13 years of age.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account. Users are fully responsible for all actions that take place under their account. Users shall make every effort possible to keep their account secure, including selecting a hard-to-guess password. Local News Talk provides users with the ability to further secure their accounts using Two-Factor Authentication. Users are strongly discouraged from sharing their account with any other person.
Misuse of the ability to register accounts (such as creating new accounts to avoid restrictions placed on another account) is prohibited.
3. User Responsibilities:
Users shall not submit content that solicits or links to material enabling piracy, including warez, cracks, keygens, and copyright circumvention and/or infringement. Users shall not distribute or trade content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any other individual or entity. Content submitted to the Services shall not be pornographic, libelous or defamatory, shall not contain threats or incite violence toward individuals or entities, and shall not violate the privacy rights of any third party.
4. Our Rights:
Local News Talk reserves the right to control access to and use of the Services, in whatever way it deems necessary, at its sole discretion, up to and including account termination. Local News Talk is under no obligation to provide Users with any form of warning prior to administrative action being taken against their account. Users who feel they were wrongly banned may appeal by contacting support [at] localnewstalk.net.
5. Privacy Policy:
Local News Talk takes all precautions possible to keep user information secure, including using industry-standard encryption of web traffic to and from our server(s), and of user passwords stored on our server(s). HOWEVER, Local News Talk cannot provide a binding guarantee of privacy to our members (except where required by law.) Local News Talk will notify all users of any known breach of its security as soon as possible.
Local News Talk does not share or distribute personal information such as e-mail addresses for any circumstances, other than to comply with demands of law enforcement, protect our legal rights, property, and interests, and to investigate illegal activities and/or situations involving potential risk to an individual's personal safety.
Visiting any website will expose your IP Address. Local News Talk may store the IP addresses of Users and Visitors indefinitely for record-keeping purposes. Local News Talk may use third-party services, such as advertisement networks and analytical services, to help fund the site, monitor its usage, or for any other reason. 6. Terms of Service Revisions and Modifications:
Local News Talk reserves the right to modify this Terms of Service, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice, for any reason. Continued usage of the site after modification of site policies constitutes your acceptance and agreement with any and all changes.
