  1. Looks like CBS News Detroit is launching today. I like their new slogan, "On Your Block. Around the Clock." https://www.cbsnews.com/detroit/
  2. No sign of CBSN Chicago in sight, but WBBM is using some of the full screen graphics for local stories. Also, while it doesn't match the streaming look, they tested an updated 7-Day over this past weekend. While we're at it, let's throw in the ticker and bug adjustments at WCBS, too. 3. https://whnt.com/news/national/the-late-late-show-canceled-after-almost-30-years-on-cbs/ The show will end when James Corden leaves, there will be no replacement host. If you think CBS is going to return that time to the affiliates though, think again:
  4. I'm taking it upon myself to create the forum's official thread for discussion of the programming decisions affected by the 2023 Writers Strike, whether it be a few days or a few months. As expected, all late night shows will be airing reruns for an indefinite period of time, whether or not they can soon return without writers like in 2008 remains to be seen. https://deadline.com/2023/05/writers-strike-late-night-shows-to-shut-down-immediately-1235352054/ And in a move that was probably in the works before the strike, Dancing With the Stars is returning to ABC. https://deadline.com/2023/05/dancing-with-the-stars-moving-back-to-abc-1235353662/
  5. So I discovered today that DirecTV has added our NBC & CBS affiliates, to 2 more channels, from what i can tell there is a slight delay (about 11 seconds) from the main channel. I don't know why we need two more of the same thing, we already have there HD streams on some upper channels on our lineup. Channel 15 is KCNC & Channel 21 is KUSA, these do not appear to be "HD" streams. Anyone know why they would have done this? And have they done this with NBC & CBS stations in other markets? They switched them on at around 3PM this afternoon, these two channels appeared on the guide Tuesday with the DirecTV logo. The other Denver stations (KMGH, KDVR, KTVD, KRMA, & KWGN) don't appear to have the 2nd feeds.
