DK Pittsburgh Sports has terminated its contract with Pittsburgh PA NBC Affiliate WPXI (owned by Cox Media Group) after a badly researched story aired on their newscast and social media by reporter Nicole Ford. DK Pittsburgh Sports has been helping WPXI with sports coverage for 8 years. https://dkpittsburghsports.com/2022/06/23/dkps-terminates-partnership-wpxi-tv-dk https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/downtown-pittsburgh-businesses-impacted-by-escalating-violence-liberty-avenue/LDCTLH3PTZAELKMVLFRGNL4BOQ/?taid=62b0d8d0892b0a0001d894c0&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2022/6/23/he-has-terminated-his-agreement-with-this-pittsburgh-station

Sinclair's WPGH adds a 6:30 PM Newscast from Cox's WPXI.
Kenneth Kissel posted a topic in General TV
From TribLIVE , Pittsburgh Post Gazette, FTVLive, and PBRTV . Sinclair's WPGH will add a 6:30 PM Newscast from Cox's WPXI on Monday March 14th. I think Cox should just buy WPGH from Sinclair and become a true sister station. WPGH's current sister station WPNT could easily go to Hearst Television who owns ABC Station WTAE due to their ATSC 3.0 partnership. Sinclair is in financial trouble so they do need the cash and this could benefit both COX and Hearst and they could better compete against Paramount Owned KDKA/WPCW.
