  2. DK Pittsburgh Sports has terminated its contract with Pittsburgh PA NBC Affiliate WPXI (owned by Cox Media Group) after a badly researched story aired on their newscast and social media by reporter Nicole Ford. DK Pittsburgh Sports has been helping WPXI with sports coverage for 8 years. https://dkpittsburghsports.com/2022/06/23/dkps-terminates-partnership-wpxi-tv-dk https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/downtown-pittsburgh-businesses-impacted-by-escalating-violence-liberty-avenue/LDCTLH3PTZAELKMVLFRGNL4BOQ/?taid=62b0d8d0892b0a0001d894c0&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2022/6/23/he-has-terminated-his-agreement-with-this-pittsburgh-station
  3. So I discovered today that DirecTV has added our NBC & CBS affiliates, to 2 more channels, from what i can tell there is a slight delay (about 11 seconds) from the main channel. I don't know why we need two more of the same thing, we already have there HD streams on some upper channels on our lineup. Channel 15 is KCNC & Channel 21 is KUSA, these do not appear to be "HD" streams. Anyone know why they would have done this? And have they done this with NBC & CBS stations in other markets? They switched them on at around 3PM this afternoon, these two channels appeared on the guide Tuesday with the DirecTV logo. The other Denver stations (KMGH, KDVR, KTVD, KRMA, & KWGN) don't appear to have the 2nd feeds.
  4. Since we were talking about the CBS Owned Stations using "First Alert Weather" for their stations. I thought I would ask what are the worst and best TV Weather Branding Slogans are. 5. It looks like WAFF in Huntsville is the latest Gray station to have their Raycom set demolished.
  6. The Tokyo 2020 (2021) Olympics kick-off TWO weeks from today with the opening ceremony on NBC. This thread will serve as the place to chat about all things Tokyo. The day will begin with the network’s first-ever live morning broadcast of an Opening Ceremony across all time zones starting at 6:55 a.m. ET/3:55 a.m. The Today Show will then have a live special edition from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the east. NBC's primetime edition of the Opening Ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. ------------------------------------- In addition to having spacious studios inside the Olympic Broadcast Center, NBC will prominently feature an outdoor studio for both primetime shows and TODAY. https://www.newscaststudio.com/2021/04/13/nbc-sports-moving-primetime-coverage-outside-for-tokyo-olympics/ Further research on my part has determined that the outdoor space will be at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba. The space, which appears to serve as an outdoor dining venue, will overlook the Rainbow Bridge and lighted Olympic rings. Due to the 13 hour time difference from NYC to Tokyo, the Today Show will broadcast in the dark and the primetime block with Mike will broadcast during the morning. The views will be something like this: Primetime: Today Show:
  7. Kasie announced this morning on MSNBC’s Way Too Early that today was her last day with the Morning Joe franchise. In addition, she's leaving the Peacock. Variety is now reporting she’s going to CNN - we’ll specifically CNN+ where she’ll have a major presence. https://twitter.com/kasie/status/1415983618531397644
