  2. I don't often go out of my way to make topical threads, but as far as I'm aware this is the first time anyone's tried this, and it seemed worthy of separation from all the Cox divestiture talk... WSB has just announced this morning that they'll be airing a 2 hour extension of Action News This Morning from 7 to 9 AM - exclusively on something else that just recently launched, "WSB NOW" - a 24/7 streaming-only channel that simulcasts their other newscasts and airs locally-produced lifestyle shows and the like the rest of the time. They claim this is the first time a local TV station anywhere has taken a shot at streaming-exclusive newscasts, let alone a streaming-exclusive channel. Quoting the article, It's an interesting approach for sure - but it'll be just as interesting to see if it actually pans out...
  3. A new report out from New England One suggests that WFXT in Boston is set to take drastic steps to revamp its on-air image amid continued struggles in the ratings following the acquisition of the FOX affiliate by Cox in 2014, including ditching longtime FOX 25 News branding. What's the future of WFXT as a FOX affiliate? Can anything save the station from itself or from Cox's meddling?
  4. COX cable is dumping all the Cable Radio Networks (CRN) as of May 9th. The CRN channels are way up around the 900's ...past the "Show Tunes" and "Toddler Talk" radio channels. COX Cable says they apologize for the inconvenience. How will I ever sleep.
  5. WHBQ in Memphis has launched a new website this week (no more MyFox branding) that's different from the current web layouts at the other Cox stations at the moment. See it here: http://www.fox13memphis.com Could this be a preview of what's to come for the websites of WSB-TV and the others? EDIT: Feel free to move this thread if I posted it in the wrong place.
