  1. The 4 O'clock newscast is being done from the stations front lobby. As seen below on the left. We'll see about the 5PM & 6PM/"NEXT" broadcasts. Does anyone know if they are doing maintenance or updating things in studio "A"? The NOON newscast was in studio "A" this afternoon.
  2. I'm taking it upon myself to create the forum's official thread for discussion of the programming decisions affected by the 2023 Writers Strike, whether it be a few days or a few months. As expected, all late night shows will be airing reruns for an indefinite period of time, whether or not they can soon return without writers like in 2008 remains to be seen. https://deadline.com/2023/05/writers-strike-late-night-shows-to-shut-down-immediately-1235352054/ And in a move that was probably in the works before the strike, Dancing With the Stars is returning to ABC. https://deadline.com/2023/05/dancing-with-the-stars-moving-back-to-abc-1235353662/
  3. Three months after Marquee acquired the station, Zanesville, Ohio's WHIZ is adding Fox on its subchannel 18.2 on November 14.
  4. DK Pittsburgh Sports has terminated its contract with Pittsburgh PA NBC Affiliate WPXI (owned by Cox Media Group) after a badly researched story aired on their newscast and social media by reporter Nicole Ford. DK Pittsburgh Sports has been helping WPXI with sports coverage for 8 years. https://dkpittsburghsports.com/2022/06/23/dkps-terminates-partnership-wpxi-tv-dk https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/downtown-pittsburgh-businesses-impacted-by-escalating-violence-liberty-avenue/LDCTLH3PTZAELKMVLFRGNL4BOQ/?taid=62b0d8d0892b0a0001d894c0&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2022/6/23/he-has-terminated-his-agreement-with-this-pittsburgh-station
  5. So I discovered today that DirecTV has added our NBC & CBS affiliates, to 2 more channels, from what i can tell there is a slight delay (about 11 seconds) from the main channel. I don't know why we need two more of the same thing, we already have there HD streams on some upper channels on our lineup. Channel 15 is KCNC & Channel 21 is KUSA, these do not appear to be "HD" streams. Anyone know why they would have done this? And have they done this with NBC & CBS stations in other markets? They switched them on at around 3PM this afternoon, these two channels appeared on the guide Tuesday with the DirecTV logo. The other Denver stations (KMGH, KDVR, KTVD, KRMA, & KWGN) don't appear to have the 2nd feeds.
