  1. Pete has to be one of the oldest employees still working for NBC News, so I'm not surprised about his retirement. I wonder who might replace him? Best of luck to him.
  2. At least Whose Line is still on the schedule. I watch it on the CW app on my smart TV. One of the things that I like about the app is that its free with mostly no TV Everywhere credentials required. With the way Nexstar's done things lately, I wonder if they will start putting shows behind a TV Everywhere wall?
  3. It makes me wonder what will happen to certain personalities who are opinionated like Jim Acosta or Don Lemon or Brian Stelter?
  4. Probably the first time FX has aired any sports in a number of years.
  5. I'd actually like to see Wolf Blitzer's short lived CNN+ show in the 9pm. I never subscribed to CNN+ but heard really good things about it as it was more like a traditional newscast. Chris Licht seems to have wanted this over another opinion show.
  6. Kind of nice to see it return. I'm not sure about BNC Go as I haven't checked it out yet.
  7. I know Elizabeth hosted the revival of AMW for a very short time last year, but that appears to have ended. Perhaps this new show is about computer crime?
  8. I know many people dislike Chuck Todd. With the show being moved to 1:00 from 4:00, and now moving from cable to streaming, I have to wonder if this is another step that may Todd may eventually leave MTP and NBC News all together.
  9. The article's behind a paywall. Can anyone summarize?
  10. I feel like CNN needs new graphics as they've had the same ones since 2014. Kind of a long time for any TV show or channel. Maybe they could go back to a more darker theme like they did in the 2000's.
  11. I wonder if they're bringing back the smooth jazz permanently? So many great memories of old-school TWC. So much better than the generic music they've used for close to 10 years.
  12. Not too surprised, considering he was the lead baseball announcer at the Summer Olympics last year.
  13. Very spot-on. They could've done so much better in how to run the service.
  14. It was supposed to launch sometime in 2021, but I haven't heard anything new in months. Maybe Byron thinks it might not work after all?
  15. It looks like Chris Wallace's interview show may move to the linear CNN feed. It's not known if it will still be daily or a weekly show. It'd be great having an interview show on CNN again since Larry King was popular for years on the network. This is according to Bloomberg. They also report that the move CNN+ programming to the linear channel or the network's website. They would've been off moving this to a FAST channel like most other news channels have been doing for streaming.
  16. In all honesty, CNN+ should've launched as a hub on HBO Max, instead of launching a service that was only going to serve a small niche. Chris Wallace will likely become a regular on the linear CNN, maybe host the 9 P.M. hard newcast that might launch. Kasie Hunt might host an hour of CNN Newsroom, and Rex Chapman will probably go back to posting viral videos on Twitter and launch his ill-fated show on a different platform. I bet Anthony Bourdain and all the library programming move back over to HBO Max.
  17. So more similar to how services like Pluto and Peacock have? Maybe if Warner Brothers Discovery launches a FAST service, they could put channels like the ones you suggested. Both Warner and Discovery lacked a FAST service pre-merger. With the merger and new staff, maybe it's time for them to try one. FAST services have really grown over the past three years or so.
  18. Thanks. I knew TBS stopped airing Seinfeld reruns some time ago. It seemed like it was on there forever.
  19. I wonder how HBO Max and Discovery+ subscribers will react when the services are merged. We subscribe to Discovery+ as we like so many of Discovery's, HGTV, Food Network etc.'s programming as well as the cheaper price. HBO Max subscribers don't want to pay for more reality/lifestyle programming, and I'm sure Discovery+'s subscribers feel the same way. Some fans are saying "Don't raise HBO Max's price". How much SD content is left on TBS and TNT? Older movies and Charmed reruns?
  20. Probably the shortest lived streaming service in happens if it does get merged. Probably the next Quibi. I'm not that surprised that it hasn't been successful when it launched.
  21. Glad that he's now permanent as the executive producer. He's done a lot of good things with the show in the short time he's been there.
  22. FS1 airs it in the graveyard slot.
  23. At least the MLB Network logo remains on the right.
