  1. The entirety of this morning’s edition of Sunday Morning was dedicated to Charles.
  2. Given how quickly this rollout is going (4 news departments in a 16 hour period), it wouldn’t surprise me if some of the others get the new graphics over the rest of the week.
  3. And here's a picture of the end of the new open:
  4. More screenshots of the package:
  5. Yeah, with WPXI's current package (in use since 2015) being an evolution of the package from 2007.
  6. I just went to the Action News Jax website to watch the livestream, and yes indeed, they have the new graphics. The font looks like it is Calibre, which Portugal's public broadcaster RTP uses in the logos of its channels.
  7. KDKA has now switched over to the newer ticker on-air.
  8. Programming shenanigans aside, NewsNation launched new lower 3rds and ticker this morning. It’s very flat, with no gradients.
  9. KDKA has the new ticker but only for CBS News Pittsburgh though; as the old ticker still shows up on the tv broadcasts.
  10. Yes. Since they ended Morning Express on HLN, they’ve been simulcasting CNN This Morning.
  11. And the new graphics are reminding me of the 2013 graphics.
  12. Can we get back to talking about the current ABC logo and the new O&O graphics package please? I swear we get carried away by the smallest things in these threads. All I can say about the new O&O package now that we've seen the full package on WLS is... I don't really like the look of the graphics. It's too cluttered for a (somewhat) simple package. Very few packages have successfully shown the 3D look with simple gradients (both the current CBS O&O look and NBC O&O look). The only thing I can give the look credit for is the time, temperature, and current weather conditions ticker in the opens.
  13. KDKA increased the size of the font on the ticker & time/temp so it would be easier to read. I also noticed that WCCO also has gotten the KOVR style ticker too.
  14. Because of tonight's severe weather in Oklahoma, Texas, and Florida; Kelly Costa is live at 10pm ET.
  15. KPIX and KOVR have that type of ticker, whereas KDKA increased the font size on the default time, temp, and ticker.
  16. Kate Bolduan just announced the news on-air.
  17. There are some people on TVNT's UK counterpart that have been complaining that these new graphics are ugly and that the BBC could make something better. I personally don't mind the new graphics; they're clean and have some depth to them from the gradients.
  18. An end of a very long era. The CBS Enforcer has had a really good shelf life in terms of News music.
  19. As I found out from the UK equivalent of TVNT, Markie Martin is now co-anchor of Morning In America, and the show will be expanding into the 6am hour on June 12.
  20. As of this morning, Sunday Morning has received a new graphical intro.
  21. The Pittsburgher in me is coming out saying: Can some of yinz stop complaining for once? Yes, WBBM pulling a WCBS isn't as exciting as exciting as them using call-letters would be. Just because the verbal branding hasn't changed doesn't mean the product itself is. And the mish-mash of the font for the 2's between the bug & website and the open is driving my graphic designer brain up a wall.
  22. With the active shooter situation in Atlanta, Natasha Zouves is anchoring right now with Keleigh Beeson popping in occasionally from the newsroom with new information.
  23. Alas, the name of the former 1-minute online livestreams returns!
  24. The current GM of WJZ, Kathy Hostetter (former news director of KDKA), knows what she’s doing. And the former GM of WJZ (from 2017 until last year), Audra Swain knew what she was doing.
  25. I'm looking at Logopedia, and the new '3' that KYW is using looks to be a redrawn version of the '3' used from 1963-1965 when KYW was still WRCV (and affiliated with NBC).
