  1. The listings for that day show no change (haven't been updated yet?)
  2. Given that the CW is already on WMYD, I don't think Nexstar is going to do any fighting as far as WADL is considered.
  3. The ruling has a direct effect on this deal. Since Nexstar doesn't own any stations in Detroit, the FCC has just ruled that this deal would put Nexstar even more over the ownership cap then it already had been with PIX11.
  4. All the stations that Nexstar and Mission own in the other markets have been ruled to effectively be duopolies. Are any of these now in violation of the existing (if relaxed) duopoly rules?
  5. The court has thrown out DirecTV's anti-trust lawsuit against Nexstar/Mission/White Knight.
  6. Do they actually have English-speaking Telemundo talent cross over?
  7. The WBTS facility is licensed as a Class A digital, but it is actually transmitting on spectrum leased from WGBX, the full-power secondary station owned by WGBH, the PBS station in town, so over-the-air coverage is not an issue.
  8. It's notable that Lionsgate is taking point here instead of the Carsey-Werner Company, which still has an active syndication business (though its been a long time since C-W actually sold a show directly to broadcast stations).
  9. All told, a number of satellite viewers are going to be stuck watching the Super Bowl either on OTA or the Nickelodeon broadcast. (Surprised the CBS affiliate body allowed Nick to cut in on their biggest day in 4 years.)
  10. I was referring to Inside Edition and ET.
  11. They could take away new J!/WOF, Drew Barrymore, and the news magazines, but that's about it.
  12. The action isn't against Nexstar but specifically Mission, and the Loudens haven't had these issues.
  13. With the premiere of After Midnight, CBS says farewell to Comics Unleashed.
  14. Disappointing that a quality independent such as this is leasing out to Perry.
  15. Paramount and Comcast quietly reached a carriage deal starting New Year's Day: https://deadline.com/2023/12/comcast-paramount-reach-carriage-renewal-averting-blackout-1235683726/
  16. In schedule news, the network has committed to primetime reruns ofThe Connors: https://deadline.com/2023/12/the-conners-repeats-the-cw-acquisition-deal-premiere-date-1235680133/
  17. Ever since Fox picked up Smackdown, they have been marketing it under the Fox Sports banner. The show even has a page on the Fox Sports website. Likewise, AEW was marketed as a product of Turner Sports during the WarnerMedia/AT&T era.
  18. Likewise, CBS viewers in Spokane can watch KLEW instead of KREM as DirecTV recently reupped with Sinclair.
  19. The source says Hispanic leaders in the area aren't pleased.
  20. The network didn't actually have a deal with the NWA, and they were also talking with the producers of syndie staple Championship Wrestling from Hollywood alongside WWE.
  21. AEW promoter Tony Khan owns it now and their weekly shows run only on their HonorClub streaming service (but the ROH belts are frequently defended on AEW TV shows). AEW currently airs on Warner Bros. Discovery's TNT and TBS and is trying to reach a long term deal with them that includes streaming rights, so they've made it clear they don't want deals with any other company at this time.
  22. Yes, the CBC does get to put their logo on shows with a "produced in association with" credit, but that tag you speak of actually says "A CBC Original" (they go into more detail here).
  23. CTV dramas Sullivan's Crossing andThe Spencer Sisters, as well as most of the Thursday sitcom lineup: Son of a Critch, Run the Burbs (both CBC) and Children Ruin Everything (CTV, previously streamed in US on The Roku Channel) making 3 1/2 hours of programming. The shows are either supplied by their individual producers or CTV (the CBC isn't allowed to own its prime-time entertainment programming).
  24. For those not in the know, CTV2 is a separate service from the main CTV network airing less prominent programming (their local O&O stations' newscasts are branded "CTV News" because using the CTV2 brand would imply that they would be a lesser product).
  25. That's even less likely than normal because of the Canadian shows on the network schedule (at normal this proposal files against long-standing ownership restrictions against non-Canadian broadcasters).
