Savanna maybe replacing Megyn Kelly on the 9am hour of Today
Doubtful, their not gonna risk ratings how they are with Savannah and Hoda. Who the hell do they have left to replace her

"This was a terrible comment I made in poor taste during the height of the Bill Cosby headlines. I realize that's no excuse. I deeply regret it and I'm sorry." - Matthews

As previously discussed I know that it would be foolish/ impossible to pull Savannah but I wouldn’t hate a Megyn- Hoda partnership. When she was just new to the network she guest hosted the 11am hour when Kathie was out and I really liked the chemistry between Kelly and Hoda. I know it’s an unpopular opinion but Savannah really doesn’t do anything for me. My second dream anchoring duo would be Megyn Kelly and Brian Williams. I feel as if their wits are perfect for each other. Most likely the most improbable thing ever but I would love to see it. I also mentioned a while back it would be cool to see Williams on Morning Joe, hell might even give me a reason to wake up earlier.

Did anyone catch Kasie DC last night?

Only thing that reminded me of 'Today' was the untimely constant commercial breaks

That was pretty entertaining. I understand the frustration to a degree but that was pretty ruthless. Looks like his staff was used to it, not even flitching every time he yelled.

With school being canceled all week for the hurricane, I have immersed myself with some of TV's morning offerings. Very impressed with Today's Take (granted this is the only episode i've seen in full), the chemistry between everyone feels very real. What will happen to Jones, Roker, and Dreyer? The later two I imagine will expand their weather roles with Today, but I have not seen Sheinelle on MSNBC lately. Being a personality/host is kinda a secondary role of all them.

Who's in charge of naming the feed?

Eh not sure which I'd prefer, Brian Williams taking forever to make a point or Katy Tur fumbling over every other word. Love them both, but can't stand a full hour of either.

Quoting Megyn Kelly's interview with WNYT, NBC in Albany : "This new show will have a lighter tone, but she says it won't be fluffy by any means".

Any updates or speculation on what studio will be used?

It's in 3C. You can see the newsroom when he's talking to the guest.
4E?

I liked what little bit I saw, but I hate the overly animated/distorted graphics. It's hard to explain, but some of the graphic elements are very distracting because they are constantly moving/flashing. You have to watch to understand what I mean.
If this is anything like it,
I definitely understand where you are coming from. Not a big fan of it, seems a little over the top. The continuous branding behind him reminds me of Hardball.
A NewscastStudio article says it's in 3A, which is weird because Nightly is going on during that time.

One thing I found interesting was that Ari posted on Instagram Stories was that only on Friday they started rehearsals. And it looked like they were working on the theme song as well in the NBC Music department. I imagine it will be some hip hop or rap type thing based on the show's name and Ari's tweets about loving rap.
Did anyone catch it? I didn't have a chance to watch it.

I think a lot of people noticed something was a bit wrong with CNN during the initial craze over the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines plane. Having nonstop "BREAKING NEWS" that leads to constant speculation about what could have happened to the plane (including Don Lemon suggesting something supernatural could have happened or when he read the theory that it could have been sucked into a black hole), Don Lemon essentially playing with a toy airplane at the desk, and the big on-screen countdown to the moment the batteries on the plane's black box went out (they still use this giant on-screen box for other countdowns and promotions, and I hate it, it takes up too much of the screen and looks really bad, and it reminds me of Fox News when they had an on-screen terror alert level, only even THAT wasn't as annoyingly out of place). CNN seems to have decided to go the more sensational route, and that includes the Brady Bunch-esque talking heads screaming over each other over social and political issues, which I personally find unwatchable. If MSNBC goes the more professional route, I'm all for that.
Ali Velshi is by far the best on MSNBC Live. He is a hard news reporter who loves numbers. I can see why they paired him and Stephanie Rhule together for 11:00, (both have a past in finance) but Rhule always comes off very whiny. She voices the usual amount of speculation you'd expect for MSNBC, but the whole "yep Trump did this" followed by a scowl and the "wow" after each reporter, gets to me. I don't necessarily like criticizing anyone but it gets to a point where the network is as only good as their people.
