  1. This story is a MUST read.......https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2021/11/2/anchor-opens-up-about-being-sexually-assaulted-by-a-coworker
  2. And you're saying this because......????
  3. When I was watching yesterday's 5p & 6p newscasts, I did notice the red background around the newsroom (specifically around the weather center). I could definitely see the color of the background changing from red to blue very soon. Also, if they were to ever change anything logo-wise, the new ABC logo would have to move directly next to the circle where the number 3 is, because I think it has to do with the new ABC logo being a bit larger. Then again, that's just me.......
  4. KATC is now using the Scripps graphics and music (and they kept Robert Burton as their longtime station voice, too)…. Hard to believe “The One and Only” Gari package is gone after 23 years at KATC…..
  5. Looks like KATC has changed some of their weather graphics (at least on their website). Here's an example.......
  6. I agree. Both the colors and the size of the letters in the graphics are just not pleasing to the eye (the human eye, that is).......
  7. For the Lafayette, LA market: --KATC: no changes, with the only exception being the new Jay Leno-hosted You Bet Your Life at 1:05am (there is another run on KATC 3.2 [CW] at 1p) --KLFY: no changes (and they're airing reruns of Judge Judy at 3p, too) --KADN: no changes so far, but Young Sheldon reruns do start two weeks from today at 5p as per youngsheldonweeknights.com (that is the only change I know of; there should be more if I see an updated lineup for the 27th tomorrow because as of now, Zap2it only goes to the 26th) --KLAF: no changes thus far UPDATE: Young Sheldon reruns air at 5p & 5:30p on KADN starting on the 27th, with Mike & Molly reduced to one run and airing at 10:30p; the rest of KADN's schedule remains For KADN 15.3 (MyAcadianaTV), a second run of the People's Court airs at 1p, replacing Divorce Court (which I believe has officially moved to KATC 3.2 and the rest of the CW 100+ station group); Law & Order SVU reruns also air at 4p on 15.3 in addition to their Monday runs on MyNetworkTV, and also, Comics Unleashed moves from Fox 15 at 10:30p to 15.3 at 11p I believe these changes all start on the 27th......
  8. Wait, Daytime Jeopardy!'s episodes were from the previous season? I always thought they were from the current season or at least several weeks prior (I know Weekend Wheel of Fortune's episodes are always from the previous season)..... I've always wondered this: when it comes to double-runs of syndicated shows, for secondary runs, are there any reasons certain episodes are picked? Is it because some episodes won't hold viewers' interest, is it because someone does or says something on air that might run the risk of either offending viewers, or do those reasons fit under the "we're just doing this to fill time" umbrella?? Again, it's something I've always wondered.....
  9. My guess is they probably needed authorization (i.e., paperwork) to drop off the fruit basket and cake LOL.... Reminds me of the time David Letterman, during his days at NBC, once tried to bring a fruit basket to GE's headquarters only to be told he needed authorization, and he and his crew were later thrown out of the area by the company's rude security people; this was right around the time GE bought NBC in the mid-'80s On that note, if you watch the Letterman clip on YouTube, right when Dave and his crew start filming near the GE building, you'll see at least 3 or 4 people a number of feet behind Letterman emerge from the building with a look of shock and disbelief on their face! Apparently, they had no idea he was coming!
  10. The song that opened up the 10p news on KTLA at the time is "Now That You've Gone" by Chicago (from the album Chicago V; this song, Saturday in the Park, and Dialogue, are three of the best songs on the album, as well as some of Chicago's best songs overall!) Also, aside from his TV work in L.A., Clete Roberts was probably best known nationally for his appearances on M*A*S*H, where he interviewed the members of the 4077th (The Interview and Our Finest Hour are the episodes in question)
  11. KLAF in Lafayette, LA, airs Funny You Should Ask, which is produced by Entertainment Studios, the sister company to Allen Media Broadcasting (which owns KLAF and Fox sister station KADN) For KPLC in Lake Charles, it's a repeat of their 10p news, which, to my knowledge, is the first time that's happened since the late '80s-early '90s (back then, it followed Later with Bob Costas at 1am, and this lasted until the debut of the long since cancelled NBC News Nightside sometime in '91)
  12. Let’s not also forget WTVQ is also the station that hired Erica Bivens not long after she and Chelsea Ambriz were fired after they came to blows in public during their time at WSAZ. (Ambriz, meanwhile, is doing well over at WeatherNation)
  13. As if this wasn’t bad enough....https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2021/8/10/the-les-nessman-of-news-nation
  14. Yeah, you're probably right......
  15. All I can say is thank goodness for CBS This Morning!! (Newsy is another worthy alternative, with Alex Livingston doing a wonderful job in mornings on the channel!)
  16. Is it the fact that she has so many hashtags in her tweet, or is it the way the video starts that's troubling you (w/her putting her makeup box down)?
  17. No. The weekend schedule has been like that since Banfield started in March of this year (that was the month of the first expansion of programming and the rebrand of WGN America to NewsNation).......
  18. True, although I'd prefer Warner Discovery myself (i.e., the names "Warner" and "Discovery" separate, as opposed to combining into one word).....
  19. I don't think this will work on a channel like NewsNation. I think there are plenty of Nexstar stations that have locally produced shows with segments like that (i.e., "pay for play" segments). But then again, what other group doesn't have stations with local shows like that? In NewsNation's case, I think it depends on the crime itself and who is involved (although I don't think they would amplify it to Today or GMA level). When NewsNation does a story like that which takes up a few minutes of airtime, they usually call on a reporter from the Nexstar station in the market where the crime occurred. If it was a really big story, then they usually call on people like Tom Negovan, Nancy Loo, or Markie Martin to cover it, depending on the region where this occurs....... If you go to newsnationnow.com, they do have at least one or two local crime stories worth highlighting (that depends on the day and time when you're at the site, and what the crime is, of course).......
  20. They still do; Nosey has a channel on PlutoTV and I did catch an episode that was on the channel a couple of days ago. It was from around 1995 or '96 (I think that's the time frame of episodes Nosey has the rights to)......
  21. Wow; Lionsgate?! I've been kind of wondering for a long time who has the rights to the Geraldo show library. I know that Tribune Entertainment (which distributed "Geraldo") shut down sometime in 2007, so I was kind of thinking the library might either belong to Geraldo Rivera himself, another entity, or even Nexstar! I'm wondering how Lionsgate ended up with Geraldo, though! Come to think of it, there are a couple of episodes of Charles Perez's awful '90s talk show on YouTube, and it was distributed by Tribune back then. I wonder if Lionsgate has the rights to it as well, or if there is another entity that has them. Or do the tapes for Perez's show even exist (if Tribune had them destroyed, which is unlikely, I think Charles Perez himself may have a copy of every show he did)??
