WLFL isn't getting FOX back. WRAZ is too strong of a FOX affiliate for that to take place. I couldn't see WTVD's Newscasts on a FOX Affiliate. It makes more sense for WLFL to be sold to Nexstar.

The Problem with WMYT is that Bahakel has a stand alone news department for Flagship station WCCB (which is rare for a CW affiliate [Only other 2 on the east coast are WISH and WPIX]). Bahakel would sue Nexstar if they tried to take the CW away from them. It would be similar to WHDH/Sunbeam and NBC. Nexstar may have to wait for Bahakel's CW contract to run out.

But I could see some if the MNTV stations that Nexstar owns try to switch to the CW and Nexstar acquiring the CBS Owned CW O&Os in addition to selling stations that aren't needed to make that happen. It is the same thing Chris-Craft and Paramount did in the 90s with UPN.

I agree that KDKA is a crown jewel station for CBS and they wouldn't want to give it up. However, it would be a tough sell to get rid of WPCW without KDKA attached to it. Unless Nexstar wants to pair WPCW with either WPNT or WPGH from Sinclair.

If that is true, I could see KDKA-TV/WPCW along with the solo CW O&Os (KSTW, WTOG [They could sell WTTA to FOX as a MYNetwork O&O] , and WUPA) included in the sale of the CW to Nexstar. Pittsburgh is one of the biggest markets where Nexstar doesn't own a station. They would have sister stations all around the area as well (WTRF, WKBN, WYTV, WTAJ, and WJET/WFXP).

Talent has a lot more power now in many cases then before due to the Great Resignation of people we have seen in the last several years, and it has started well before the pandemic started. https://hbr.org/2022/03/the-great-resignation-didnt-start-with-the-pandemic Talent can make more money with just social media then with a TV Station backing them up. Stations need to adapt or fall like newspapers.

I hope that can happen but you know Nexstar, Sinclair, and Tegna will put up a fight with Marquee the entire way. If they win, the best thing for Marquee to do, is to put WCMH, WBNS, WSYX, WTTE as subchannels in Zanesville. In addition to that. Sinclair could (if they wanted too) sell WWHO to Marquee so WHIZ would have a presence in Columbus as an news alternative if WHIZ goes Independent from NBC.

Couldn't Nexstar work with Marquee to make WHIZ a satellite of WCMH and merge the two news departments together? That could be an option.

The latter seems likely (going as an Independent) and then provide the Columbus Stations on a translator in Zanesville. I also know people from that area that have told me that sometimes they can also get WTRF (CBS/ABC/MY) and WTOV (NBC/FOX/CW) from Wheeling/Steubenville when conditions are good.

Not exactly. Pittsburgh is a lot more competitive then you think (as you can see here). KDKA is LAST in the Morning News (they tried to Rebrand as "Your Day Pittsburgh" and that isn't working).

Do you think FOX could make a deal with Judy? Judge Judy does air on many FOX O&Os including WTTG Fox 5, WTXF Fox 29, and WTVT Fox 13.

I know Judge Judy is in reruns but do you think the networks (especially CBS) would ask IDMBtv to air Judy Justice on their stations. Judge Judy is still pulling in great ratings in many cities even though the show has ended.

Then why did WPXI resign KC for 2 years last September? I can see KC being the successor to WW more then Sherri. Sherri could be a replacement for Judge Judy at 3 PM.

I doubt it. Rob Owen from TribLIVE told me that WPXI already continued the contract for Kelly Clarkson for 2 more years so it won't move to WTAE.
