  1. DK Pittsburgh Sports has terminated its contract with Pittsburgh PA NBC Affiliate WPXI (owned by Cox Media Group) after a badly researched story aired on their newscast and social media by reporter Nicole Ford. DK Pittsburgh Sports has been helping WPXI with sports coverage for 8 years. https://dkpittsburghsports.com/2022/06/23/dkps-terminates-partnership-wpxi-tv-dk https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/downtown-pittsburgh-businesses-impacted-by-escalating-violence-liberty-avenue/LDCTLH3PTZAELKMVLFRGNL4BOQ/?taid=62b0d8d0892b0a0001d894c0&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2022/6/23/he-has-terminated-his-agreement-with-this-pittsburgh-station
  2. This is the complete list of FOX stations (O&Os and Affiliates) airing this FOX 4 (WFTX) Ft. Myers FOX 5 (WAGA) [FOX O&O] Atlanta. FOX 5 (WTTG) [FOX O&O] (took this late) DC FOX 6 (WITI) [FOX O&O] Milwaukee (didn't air the first 2). FOX 7 (KTBC) [FOX O&O] Austin. FOX 7 (WSVN) Miami FOX 8 (WGHP) Greensboro FOX 10 (KIDY) San Angelo FOX 13 (WHBQ) Memphis FOX 17 (WXMI) Grand Rapids FOX 19 (WXIX) Cincinnati FOX 21 (WHNS) Greenville FOX 23 (KOKI) Tulsa FOX 23 (KBSI) Paducah FOX 29 (WFLX) West Palm Beach FOX 30 (WFOX) Jacksonville FOX 32 (WFLD) [FOX O&O] Chicago FOX 43 (WPMT) Harrisburg FOX 61 (WTIC) Hartford If your station isn't on here. It didn't air the coverage. Yes they do for certain special reports.
  3. It was about the same as the list I put out several days ago with some minor tweaks.
  4. To be fair. How many stations are going to become 24 hour news channels at this point? Most syndicated shows have been a snore at this point.
  5. 1. Renegotiation is a necessity (no matter what the cost) if Nexstar actually cares about NewsNation being a 24/7 news channel . Maybe make a deal to move Blue Bloods and other shows on NewsNation to The CW/Antenna TV or whatever the "New" CW name will be. This actually should have been done before NewsNation launched BTW. 2. I never suggested to rename The CW to WGN America (I agree on the nightmare it would cause the affiliates if that happened) . Actually, I suggested that Nexstar use the plan Tribune had with WGN America for The CW. There will have to be a new name regardless for The CW if Nexstar owns it fully without Warner or Paramount. 3. NewsNation would do a lot better as a Broadcast News Channel like Newsy, The National Desk, or NewsNet then a Cable Channel. You could keep NewsNation as a cable channel as well and you will be able to double dip and get more ratings that way. This proposal wouldn't affect Antenna TV in any way.
  6. Exactly, If Nexstar was smart (I don't think Perry Sook is BTW). They would do 2 things after buying The CW. 1. Move all of NewsNation's entertainment programs to The CW and Turn The CW into a rebirth of WGN America. 2. Make NewsNation a full time NEWS Network on subchannels carried by its own Stations/ CW Affiliate subchannel Stations. If Nexstar does this then you could have both the entertainment aspect of The CW and your Full time news network with NewsNation (and NN would get much better ratings because it would be on a broadcast subchannel).
  7. This was announced during their noon newscast ahead of time so I congratulate WGAL for making an attempt to carry the entire hearing. Meanwhile, WPXI ended their coverage at 2 to carry the Open and didn't finish. KDKA simulcasted the CBS SR on Sister station WPCW as a precaution in case they had to cover severe weather.
  8. Its about time. I remember when WPXI tried to air it at 1 PM. AHHHHHHH. It was a ratings bust from day 1.
  9. I could have given you a copy without my logo on the top right but oh well. It didn't look right with the stations image at the time and it doesn't look right now. It belongs in the dumpster it came out of.
  10. I hate to say this but NewsNation can learn A LOT from The National Desk. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cey-b-DpQ9z/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  11. If anyone thought they were going to NewsNation to get news on the January 6th Hearings. You saw THIS.
  12. The Networks are airing the 2nd hearing now. Most CBS,NBC,and ABC Stations are airing this without incident. Most PBS Stations continued to air Kids Programming. Fox Broadcast Stations are a mixed bag. I provided the List of FOX Affiliates airing this here by channel Number . I also Included Many Cable Channels as well. FOX 4 (WFTX) Ft. Myers FOX 5 (WAGA) [FOX O&O] Atlanta. FOX 5 (WTTG) [FOX O&O] (took this late) DC FOX 7 (KTBC) [FOX O&O] Austin. FOX 7 (WSVN) Miami FOX 8 (WGHP) Greensboro FOX 10 (KIDY) San Angelo FOX 13 (WHBQ) Memphis FOX 17 (WXMI) Grand Rapids FOX 19 (WXIX) Cincinnati FOX 21 (WHNS) Greenville FOX 23 (KOKI) Tulsa FOX 23 (KBSI) Paducah FOX 29 (WFLX) West Palm Beach FOX 30 (WFOX) Jacksonville FOX 32 (WFLD) [FOX O&O] Chicago FOX 43 (WPMT) Harrisburg FOX 61 (WTIC) Hartford There may be more but These Stations I was able to confirm.
  13. I wonder how many Fox stations will air this? Probably the same number that aired the first one.
  14. It is weird, I thought they all just back from vacation. I switched to KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh shortly afterwards to see if they were doing the same and they have Reporter Erika Stanish anchoring (former KOKH-TV reporter, before that she was a WJAC Weekend anchor). Mary Ours (was with WJAC with Erika) (Pulling double duty today) , and Sports Director Bob Pompeani.
  15. With all of the money Nexstar is dumping into NewsNation, they could have made it a broadcast entity where it was OTA on all of their owned stations instead of replacing WGN America and making it Cable Only. At least Scripps (Newsy) and Sinclair (The National Desk) can prove putting National News programming OTA does work and can bring in viewers. But Nexstar has to be greedy.
  16. I wrote this on twitter just to remind people there are many local FOX Stations that are similar to newsrooms of the other big 3 stations. I noted that WTTG-TV Did indeed air coverage of this and will also air the following hearings in the days/weeks to come. https://twitter.com/Bbabybear01/status/1535074705165918208
  17. I hope your right, but it has been noted on this forum multiple times that morale is at an all time low at CBS. I wish Adam well and hopes he makes the CBSEN successful but history says otherwise.
  18. Not Exactly, WJET uses the FOX-1 graphics like sister WFXP but with a different shade.
  19. Here is the Noon broadcast along with "Showcase Richmond". This also has some weather promos/News Nation Promos. To answer @froyo49, There is a ticker below the new graphics but it still using the old 2016-2022 logo for now.
  20. How will Norah mess this EP up? Inquiring minds want to know. I say he lasts 6 months.
  21. I have several friends of mine that live around the outskirts of the Richmond area. If you lived in Williamsburg, West Point, Emporia, Waverly, Hopewell , and some others . You had an option to add WVEC to your cable/satellite package either as a replacement to WRIC or an addon for a extra fee (That was also possible for WAVY/WTKR/WGNT/WTVZ/and WVBT as well). If you lived in Fredericksburg, Bowling Green, Mineral, Charlottesville (They got their own ABC affiliate in 2004), Port Royal, Orange County, and some others. You had the option to add WJLA as a replacement to WRIC or an addon for an extra fee (this also worked for WUSA/WTTG/WFTY/and WRC). This was an option mostly for Cox Communications and Directv/Dish Network Subscribers.
  22. At least it is better then THIS logo. WRIC has seen much worse. Their highlight was when they were Media General's Flagship. Remember, This station was owned by Young Broadcasting who treated WRIC as a dumpster fire. People around Richmond would actually ask for WVEC or WJLA in their cable/satellite subscriptions in the 90s/00s due to how bad this station was.
  23. Many CW affiliates can just become independents or be used as alternates for a big 4 network if they have to cover Breaking News/Severe Weather coverage. It would solve many complaints from viewers. For example, WPCW airs CBS Programming when KDKA-TV covers Breaking News/Severe Weather or sports coverage.
  24. I'm not as Surprised, Fox Weather was also showing WFTX's (FOX 4) cameras from Fort Myers as well (A Scripps Station).
