  1. Which explains the new video wall in front of the old 9-pack. The Ocho is probably due for a new Nexstar Corner Set-In-A-Box soon.
  2. It looks like KLAS is either refreshing or replacing their news set. Morning newscasts and sports segments have been broadcast from Studio B since Monday (?), and evening newscasts are live from the newsroom. The weather center in Studio A is still being used for WX segments. Update (9/16): No new set in the works yet. Temporary move due to maintenance. Newscasts resumed from Studio A.
  3. The package seems to have been rushed to air without planning. The blue-on-blue in the L3 ticker is an eyesore. Also, the sports scores lack league information and the use of Arial for weather details is appalling. Agreed: it is a terrible implementation of the KOIN graphics to date.
  4. KLAS switched to the KOIN graphics package.
  5. Today was Dayna Roselli's last day as morning anchor at KTNV: https://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/entertainment-columns/kats/dayna-roselli-leaving-channel-13-in-las-vegas-1868494/
  6. Beth Fisher signed off from the morning shift at KTNV Las Vegas yesterday. https://www.ktnv.com/positivelylv/beth-fishers-sendoff-at-13-action-news
  7. It appears it's just the former MG stations that are affected for now.
  8. KSNV in Las Vegas rolled out the new graphics refresh (WX graphics were same as previous though) during their noon newscast today.
  9. KLAS-TV's Kirsten Joyce is leaving the morning anchor desk to spend more time with her family. This is her last week on-air.
  10. So has Nexstar's KLAS. Here's hoping they'll adopt the Trib implementation, as it looks much better.
  11. Agreed. “KRON 24/7” or something a lot less corny would suffice.
  12. In Las Vegas, Steve Wolford, who was let go from KTNV-TV 8 months ago, joins KSNV:
  13. I believe Nexstar doesn't use any outside promotion for its news programming, at least from where I live.
  14. Yep. There wasn't much of a cash grab as commercial breaks consisted of in-house promos and PSAs. Plus it was an eyesore to watch in 16:9 480i.
  15. No more 9pm newscast on KLAS-TV Las Vegas. Their 8.2 subchannel reverted back to the MeTV lineup for the hour.
  16. KLAS previously had a 4pm newscast prior to Nexstar mandating the station to replace it with Las Vegas NOW.
  17. KLAS-TV Las Vegas recently added a 9 pm newscast on subchannel 8.2 (MeTV), just an hour ahead of other prime-time news coverage on KVVU and KVCW.
  18. Stanley's leaving for economic reasons, and PBB will be renamed for the Phoenix market -- but not going away. https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/Stanley-Roberts-kron4-people-behaving-badly-phoeni-13145093.php It's just too expensive to live in the Bay Area.
  19. Meanwhile, KRON's Stanley Roberts is leaving the Bay Area for the Valley of the Sun: http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2018/8/9/big-loss-in-the-bay-area
  20. http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2018/8/9/big-loss-in-the-bay-area Famous in my book! Nexstar and KRON just lost a good reporter and a household brand. I hope Penny-Pinchin' Perry is happy.
  21. FTVLive reported that KTNV in Las Vegas fired evening anchor Steve Wolford: http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2018/4/19/sacked-in-las-vegas
  22. 8NewsNow.com should be the primary URL (which it once was before the Nexstar acquisition), since "Las Vegas Now" is also the title of the station's pay-to-play lifestyle show. Heck, I'd even settle for KLASTV.com
