  1. Nexstar Inc. President of Broadcasting Timothy C. Busch to Retire in Mid-2021 February 26, 2021 36 Year Broadcasting Veteran Served in Multiple Leadership Roles Over 20 Years as Nexstar Grew to Become the Nation’s Largest Broadcaster IRVING, TX – Nexstar Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST), announced today that President, Broadcasting, Timothy C. Busch, will retire June 1, 2021, following a 36-year career in the broadcast industry. Mr. Busch joined Nexstar in 2000 as General Manager at WROC (CBS) in Rochester, New York and over his career with Nexstar ascended to roles of increasing responsibility including Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer and ultimately President of Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., the predecessor to Nexstar Inc.
  2. Nexstar has had their eye on Meredith for a very long time. Now with Print spun out. This will be an easier sell.

  4. I am not a fan of Jeff Zucker but everyone in this group is talking about CNN’s demise post trump. Between Nov. 4 and Sunday, CNN has averaged 1.73 million viewers, more than double a year ago, Nielsen said. Fox News Channel had 1.56 million and MSNBC had 1.53 million. It's the first time since December 2001, the newsy period after the Sept. 11 terrorist attack, that CNN has beaten Fox News in this measurement for as long as a month, Nielsen added. Among the broadcast networks, NBC led last with a primetime average of 6 million viewers. to be fair to Jeff... this is under his watch.

Nexstar Media Group is combining its broadcasting and digital subsidiaries as Nexstar Inc. to “drive synergies, create operational efficiencies, reduce expenses and enhance financial results.” Timothy C. Busch becomes president, broadcasting; the digital business unit will be led by Karen Brophy; and Sean Compton will be president, networks, overseeing WGN America, AntennaTV and WGN Radio.

  15. KLRT-TV, FOX 16, on temp set as they remodel the FOX 16 set in Little Rock, AR. KARK-TV, house in same studio, debuted their set about 18 months ago. New graphics package set to debut, too, for Fox. Early February.
  16. KTSM in El Paso has moved into their new facilities. They have adopted the look of KRQE. Same logo, set and the NBC Nexstar graphics pkg. (instead of the CBA one, duh).
