  1. CBS has unveiled their talent roster for the upcoming season:
  2. I don’t think the morning news is going away when WPHL gets The CW. They have no reason to cancel it.
  3. Ashton Altieri at KCNC is doing the evening shift tonight. I guess the weather team is taking the weekend for bereavement after Elise Finch's passing.
  4. I wonder if NBC will eventually follow through on giving 10pm/9pm back to affiliates if the strikes drag on.
  5. Same one in use at KPIX and KOVR/KMAX.
  6. The second Quincy convert has switched.
  7. Appears the D-backs are about to officially move off BS Arizona this upcoming week.
  8. The original source was Scott Jones’ Patreon, so I’m going off that until I see official confirmation or proven otherwise.
  9. CBS is reportedly sunsetting News Now at the end of next month. The weekend editions of the show have been cancelled, which gives credence to this.
  10. Looks like SAG-AFTRA is about to join the picket line.
  11. The new GM is Shiela Oliver, from KCPQ-KJZO.
  12. WCSC replacing Hot Bench with new local show Palmetto Life at 9am in September.
  13. They’ll be called CBS News Detroit. WKBD is not KCAL. Also, don’t be surprised if WKBD simulcasts the 7-9am streaming block of their morning newscast in the fall.
  14. WGN is launching a new local show, Spotlight Chicago, at 3pm in September.
  15. It’s why KCBS can air CBS Mornings twice from 4-6am and 7-9am.
  16. FTVLive is reporting that the new and existing independent stations (minus Tampa and Seattle) will be going news-heavy (similar to KCAL) this fall. He also reports that CBS is ending the hybrid local-national NOW newscast in August. (h/t @24994J)
  17. Former KDFW meteorologist Ron Jackson has passed away at 65.
  18. Max Kellerman and Keyshawn Johnson are gone.
  19. Divins is now at Spectrum News 1 Texas.
  20. Looks to be permanent, as it’s scheduled for next week as well. There’s another automated program on TWC’s schedule, Twilight LIVE (presumably using the same night maps seen on Pattrn and TWC en Espanol) which airs right after it.
  21. You have to wonder about the future of the late night talkers, especially with election season around the corner.
  22. Ryan Seacrest is Pat Sajak's successor.
  23. The classic LOT8s is back (sort of)…but you’ll have to get up very early to see it.
