  1. That's rather interesting, even though I don't live stream newscasts. Still, that's rather interesting
  2. What kind of mic flags is WOOD using?
  3. That's a huge concern if I were in charge of the Peacock network moving forward when the NFL and NHL contracts come up for renewal within the next few years, and if they were to lose out on the NFL and NHL I wouldn't be surprised and I wouldn't be surprised if they kept the NFL/NHL either. Still, it's a huge concern without question. They got that from ESPN; that layout doesn't match with the current ticker layout, just my opinion
  4. There's also some good College Basketball and NBA action going on this MLK weekend too
  5. I hope to see some more never-seen-before KCNC opens from around the NBC-to-CBS transition to the present. What Trevor Trail was able to pull off from the 80s to 1994 is amazing
  6. I hope you get to do an update the KCNC News Opens compilations T.L Hughes made soon Also, did Bob Palmer stopped anchoring the 10pm news sometime in Early 1993? I noticed that he and Bill Stuart was anchoring coverage of the 1992 Presidential Election about 9 minutes into the video
  7. I can hear the Announcers of KCNC during the late 80s and even through around the time Bob Palmer retired saying these lines right now: "From KCNC-TV, Colorado's News Channel" "It's time for News 4, and you're with Colorado's News Channel." And even towards the last day as the NBC affiliate and during the Early-CBS years "You're on News 4, Colorado's News Channel"
  8. Also note that for Denver, Nexstar is also in the process of acquiring KWGN/KDVR (even though yes, they DO have a bureau for the existing Colorado stations)
  9. Is there a way to link our Discord servers with our TVNT accounts without having to leave the Discord server? I had to leave the server twice just so I could get mine linked? Because some of us in here have been a member of the Discord server prior to the update. Thanks
  10. I'm surprised Nexstar hasn't done capital bureaus in more ex-MG/LIN state capital cities than where they've done. Hopefully that'll change with the Tribune deal
  11. That took place toward the tail end of the Belo era. The KXTV/KVUE swap did in fact, took place about a year later in 1999.
  12. Grand Rapids, I'm looking forward to seeing that. Hopefully, you'll get to do Dallas and update the compilations T.L. Hughes did down there
  13. Very nice, any other markets do you plan on doing the compilation in markets where ID Junkie has not done the compilations at as of yet?
  14. Another interesting tidbit out of all of this is that Nexstar plans to use stations in State Capitals for Political coverage in that particular state but the only concern about that is Nexstar is not in every single city that's a State Capital (For example, Nexstar isn't in Columbia-Jefferson City so, therefore, all of the Missouri stations Nexstar owns has to get creative with the way they cover Politics in Missouri)
  15. I think the issues going on in Hunt Valley has to do with all of that, No one wants to work for a Sinclair-owned station and I really can't blame them for leaving the Sinclair stations while they still have a chance to do so
  16. What is going on with KTUL's weather staff? It seems like ever since Jennifer Zeppelin left Channel 8, they've lost meteorologists left and right and most of which have gone over to KJRH
  17. The National Football League, and the Super Bowl, the NBA, the PGA Tour, Major League Baseball, Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, and the 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008 Olympic Games.

All on America's Sports Leader, NBC.

  19. Like Father, Like Son, don't be surprised if Connor ends up being one of those "Live Desk" anchors at some point
  20. All Jeopardy! Contestants must meet eligibility requirements to win cash or prizes and any portion of the program that does NOT affect the outcome of the competition will be edited out for broadcast purposes

  21. Any word on the other Denver stations doing the same thing as KUSA/KTVD is doing?
  22. So either way, it's a lose-lose situation for Tribune
  23. True but that still doesn't change the fact that if Tribune knew the regulatory risks when they merged with Sinclair, they would've bypassed Sinclair at all costs (even if it meant being brought to court over breaching their fiduciary duty)
