Not sure if this should go here or the Graphics Knockoff thread... Hubbard's WDIO in Duluth has a very close resemblance to the KOIN graphics.... Slight tweaks but definitely the motions are there.... Weather graphics are definitely the KOIN variety

The one thing that bothers me, and is my Achilles heel with any graphics overhaul, is that WXMI STILL has some Tribune fonts in their weather segments... How hard is it to make sure that everything migrates over to the new graphics design?? It looks so tacky and awkward....

I wasn't able to get the open...got the weather forecast segment... but I'm thinking this is a loose transition... 1) no time/temp bug during the newscast 2) lower thirds and news maps are new Scripps 2) the weather graphics are mixed between Tribune/Scripps 3) Using new Scripps music and Guardian

WXMI is debuting the graphics tonight according to meteorologist Erik Kostrzewa Not sure if it's just the weather or the complete package... based on what I see, it's the whole kit n kaboodle

Go to the maps & radar section of the weather page... all the maps except the 7-day are tegna-fied

I am assuming that WQAD is next to be TEGNA-fied... Looking on their website tonight, even though on air, they have Tribune graphics, most of the weather maps online are TEGNA-fied

The only thing I'm not liking about the latest package/update is in the weather Upper 3rds... The Weather Logos aren't meshing well... especially those with that silvery border... looks out of place -
WATN now has the new Tegna layout... kept the same localmemphis.com address. Surprisingly they kept the logo in tact, just made it linear..

WOI also has the latest version of the Tegna websites and app that are slowly rolling out... Looks like when the Tegna graphics debut, the open will feature We Are Iowa (at least from what is seen in the app when it opens)
