  1. KMID 2 is just 5:30-7:00 a.m., weeknights at 5:00 and 10:00 p.m. and Sundays at 10:00 p.m. That's it. Nothing more. KOSA 7 and KWES 9 produce double more, the amount of local news coverage than KMID 2.
  2. Just because it has news on those sites, doesn't mean news operations will be coming for them.
  3. Yes. It started at 7:17 p.m., instead of 7:00 p.m. So WCBS had to start at 11:17 and finish by 11:47 p.m.
  4. Why does that "Planet Danes" logo remind me of Sky News?
  5. I thought they did two at 6:00 and 11:00 p.m., just like how WICZ 40 only does news at 6:00 and 10:00 p.m.
  6. Hopefully more news on WPTV where it airs "Let's Ask America" after the noon news. And also hopefully more news at noon on WXYZ, so that they can put Right This Minute at 7:00 p.m. on WMYD 20.
  7. No. He means that CBS may be the reason that Adam Kup is being pushed out since Adam Kup hosts an afternoon show on 560 WQAM and that radio station is owned by CBS. Nothing confusing about affiliations but CBS may be behind all of this, unless if 'TVJ decides to keep the Kup.
  8. Wow. I didn't know what WTVJ was that bad in the evenings. They sound like they are in 3rd place since barely anybody watches WFOR. I guess its WSVN at #1 vs. WPLG at #2 for local news ratings in my home market.
  9. It's about time. KTXD 47 has never been good in terms of local programming. if they seriously wanna be good, then a full (and traditional, unlike how WJZY started) news department would be in order.
  10. Why if they already air NBC Nightly News at 7:00 p.m. ? Plus, the other pre-emption they have is Days of our Lives at 12:00 Noon, instead of 1:00 p.m.
  11. It looks like WWCW 21/WFXR 27 are planning to not only move to a bigger house, but to also air its newscasts in-house. According to Roanoke.com, the stations would ditch the news partnership with WSLS 10, in favor of producing its own newscasts. WSLS 10 has aired a 10:00 p.m. newscast for WFXR/WWCW (WJPR at the time) since 1996 and the 2-hour weekday morning newscast since 2012. So "Local 21/27 News" or "FOX 21/27 News" perhaps? Remember, the stations are owned by Nexstar. Here's the story from Roanoke.com: http://www.roanoke.com/business/news/roanoke/roanoke-s-fox-plans-big-changes/article_11c613d7-ee5e-5e30-8466-2fb0a18f5c23.html
  12. Never like Ally as much as I liked Marza. He was well good and I'm sad to hear that he's leaving. I'll miss him for sure because I thought he was a good anchor.

  14. And that shutdown ain't no joke. Realize the date it falls on.
  15. It's rare that a station would report on something like this. I don't think I've seen a station post a news story on one of their own being arrested. They just don't like talking about personal matters.
  16. That means there will be no local news at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings in Atlanta, since FOX 5 still airs The Georgia Gang at that timeslot after Good Day Atlanta at 8:00 a.m. on Sundays.
  17. As we should all know by now, that station was sold to CBS in 1994 and became WWJ-TV to match AM sister station Newsradio 950 WWJ.
  18. Don't tell that to KTVB 7. They don't have the NBC peacock anywhere in their logos.
  19. KCRA 3 did their noon news from a mall in Downtown Sacramento. WXYZ 7 is scheduled to do the news at noon from a future Downtown Detroit hotspot. It's kinda common out there that the noon news is sometimes done from a different location, other than the main studio.
  20. Sounds like something that WCPX 6 (now WKMG) used to do in the 90s. "Channel 6 News... Where will we take you tonight?"
  21. It's similar for their 6:00 p.m. open/newscast.
  22. Wait, you mean America Teve in Miami? If so, then I gotta check it out myself.
  23. the second Spanish local newscast at 7:00 a.m. after Noticias 23 al Amanecer en UniMas Miami (WAMI 69). Unfortunately, this new newscast is also an hour-long and its called "Arriba America," obvious with its name-sake.
