  1. It's gonna be hard to deliver Sports on KFOR without a Barry delivering it anymore.
  2. So what does that mean for "7 Action News This Morning at 10:30am" on Sundays?
  3. I'm glad that KOCO realizes that this is more than just competition and that they can set it aside so that KFOR can mourn one of their own. We don't see it happening this much in Television News, but I will say that KOCO is doing the best move ever. One station helping another out. Its about OKC, not the competition at this point and the stations coming together to help. Bravo, KOCO!
  4. Don't forget, she was one of those reporters who was frequently a part of "Making News: Savannah Style" for TV Guide Network while she was at WJCL/WTGS.
  5. It just shows you that any one of those ladies are up for the job at 4 and possibly at 10pm.
  6. I think she'd be perfect for WCBS. After all, you have Lou Young, another beloved NY reporter.
  7. Wasn't Action News on PHL17, #1 a few weeks ago and under what demographic? A25-54, A18-49 or Total Households? Because if it's A25-54 and/or A18-49, then that doesn't count to me.
  8. Came from WKMG and WFTV, respectively in Orlando.
  9. Who else does editorials? I think WPLG 10 still does, but rarely now.
  10. Well there you go. That sounds like a high chance clear move that Fred is moving to Gannett/Tegna's WCNC NBC Charlotte.
  11. It's valuable on ESPN2, since ESPN rather have SportsCenter there. Besides, it's been on ESPN2 since 2006 and ESPNews before it in 2004.
  12. I know I'm answering to myself, but it's because WAAY 31 is using NPG's ABC affiliates' graphic packages. I don't know why tho since WAAY 31 is owned by Calkins Media, not NPG.
  13. not bargin. And, without removing the heart from WBIR's logo. It's been synonymous with the station since the Mid 80's, just like WMAZ's heart in its logo.
  14. I say WNCN because WRAL already has David Crabtree and Gerard Owens to fill all their afternoon and evening newscasts.
  15. My predictions: Sarah takes over the 4pm, Sundays go solo with Walter again. Monica remains at 5pm as either Alicia or Sharrie takes over at 10pm Eva and Tamela will remain in their roles. Keep Tamela in the mornings, their chemistry works there. But nothing matters when Jim Gardner is still your Action News anchor at 6 and 11pm.
  16. Because SportsCenter has been around since forever on ESPN, whereas Mike and Mike... only since 1998. They see SportsCenter as more valuable than Mike and Mike.
  17. Get ready to see KITV 4 run down to the ground. I don't like this move.
  18. So now on weekdays, SportsCenter will be LIVE from 7:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on ESPN - including the new 7:00-9:00 a.m. block, 3:00-6:00 on ESPNews, 6:00-7:00 on ESPN, 7:00-11:00 p.m. on ESPNews and 11:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. on ESPN - including the new midnight block and the same 1:00 a.m. block from Los Angeles.)
  19. It is boring, other than the WOAI/KABB merger which slowly continues to merge together... very slowly.
  20. According to TV listings, WZVN eliminated their 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. newscast and has replaced it with Extra at 5:00 and The Insider at 5:30 p.m. That just leaves WZVN with weeknights at 6:00, 7:00 and 11:00 p.m., aside from their weekday morning newscasts at 5:00, 6:00 and 9:00 a.m. Also, WINK moved their 6:30 p.m. Sunday newscast to 6:00 p.m. to allow a separate newscast at 6:30 p.m. for WXCW.
  21. Very sad to hear. Since I live in South Florida, we just lost a giant. She was stellar and charming. We will miss her a lot around here.
  22. Well then... looks like Chicago has died.
  23. One of the best from WBAL-TV and one of the best from Baltimore. He's in that Jerry Turner, Al Sanders, Jeff Barnd, Stan Stovall, Vic Carter, Denise Koch-kind of list. One of the best and we'll miss him here at TVNT.
  24. No because KPLC is licensed to Lake Charles and most of their news is focused on Lake Charles.
  25. But doesn't Hubbard already own stations in New Mexico, Duluth, MN; Albany, NY and Rochester? I got confused by what you said. I know they don't own any in OKC, Tulsa and San Diego and I can see Hubbard owning KFMB if Midwest Television, Inc. decides to see it, but I don't see Griffin selling KWTV/KSBI, nor KOTV/KQCW, anytime soon.
