  1. Ugh!! The night I decide not to watch the NEWS!!!
  2. Oh, the background from the news portion (from what I've seen) looks similar.
  3. So, The NOW uses a lot of Newsy stories?
  4. I think Scripps got their new studio design from WDRB in Louisville. But, I am not sure because the new look debuted in late September after KMGH's new studio debuted. WDRB 6pm Open 9-22-14
  5. Everybody is complaining about how bad The Now is. I have never watched it. What's wrong with it?
  6. I like the open, it has more energy to it. And, yes the graphics do need to match.
  7. Can you post a video? What does the video sound like? I will watch tonight at 5.
  8. Before WSEE merged with WICU, they were number one and I believe pretty popular too. Of course, I wasn't alive in the 90's. But, up until 2009, they had anchor teams, studio, they were their own news operation.
  9. An Erie station has less than that. That station is WSEE (Lilly Broadcasting). Their weekday newscasts run from 6-7am, 12-12:30pm, 6-6:30pm, and 11-11:35pm. WICU's weekend newscast is Weekends Now which is on both WICU and WSEE because they are sister stations. WSEE used to be number one, not anymore.
  10. Anybody know when WJCL might get the new look?
  11. There are 4 new discs of Strive for 2015
  12. You don't HAVE to listen to Lonnie. That's just what they want you to do.
  13. Does anybody have or know of any WTAE videos from Late September 2012-Present? If so, post the link!
  14. Over the summer Nexstar's ABC station in Erie, PA (WJET-TV) Changed the first few minutes of their morning newscast slightly. Probably to compete with Lilly Broadcasting's NBC station WICU, who as of February 2014, was #1 in the morning. One change, during the Forecast First segment on WJET, the meteorologist doesn't stand in front of the green screen anymore. He stays at the weather center. And at the end of the Forecast First he always says something like "it's time to start the show" This morning he said, something like, "it's time to start Monday's show" or something like that. The 2nd change is after the open. The meteorologist sits with the morning anchor while they give a quick tease/chat about the stories coming up. Sometimes they have their one of their morning reporters/ weekend anchor sitting at the desk giving a tease of HIS story coming up. There are two more changes as well. They now have mugs that have WJET's logo on it. Another change is, on September 1, they expanded their morning newscast from 5:30 to 5. Once again, probably to compete with WICU whose started at 5 for as long as I can remember. Our crap CBS station (and I mean crap) still remains lame and starts their newscast at 6 with an okay meteorologist and anchor. (Our CBS station is WSEE if you want to look it up) I have only seen the first 15 minutes of the 6:30 edition so I don't know if it varies from any other editions. (Probably not because they aren't that creative in the morning) Our FOX station WFXP which is operated by WJET has a morning newscast from 8-9am, which according to wikipedia, has aired since September 2007.
  15. Okay, I guess you don't. So, what do you think about WTAE rebranding to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 in March? Do you like it, or not? If anyone is curious, they changed all the music they use. I don't know what the cut is called that they use in the morning or at 11. (I really, really, really like their 11pm theme.) I know that they use all 3 versions of Early Evening 2013. Invigorated (my favorite)- Noon and 5pm Agent of Change- 5:30pm Galvanized- 6pm I think it is really creative how they changed their newscasts and change the music every half hour in the evening. What station does that?
  16. Does anybody have or know of any WTAE videos from September 2012-Today? If so, please send the link to me. Thank You!
