  1. about time they updated it, because I like the time temp location and the live bug looks bigger. But it seems like the crawl has been axed, so will there be crawlspace when others get the change?
  2. I'm back, just not as often.
  3. Leaving TVNT. Apparently being passionite and opinonatied is shunned upon. If you like me you can PM me and follow my other portals. Bye
  4. off for a week. be back after December.
  5. I associated it as TM, but regardless I'm ripping the audio to expand my Spirit of Texas playlist!
  6. Must bite my tongue. I have to not talk about WFXT anymore. Too much of a touchy topic for this guy.
  7. Did he own the rights and TM just was the marketing agent?
  8. So whats the connection to TM Productions* then? I thought they were the composers of The Spirit (of) package. *EDIT: They are out of business, I thought they were still around.
  9. KCBS was a cursed station, they kept redoing the newscast in the 80s. They seemed to settle down by 1990 or whatever the time they used the WTEN/KCBS theme.
  10. I remember that clip being posted on YouTube actually. Their newsroom has been modified significantly (and probably remodeled) over the years. While the newsroom is 25 years old, the newsroom prior to the studio change, looked pretty current.
  11. Is there any video that's on the web or people have in their collections from WCBS in 1992? It seems like there is every era of IDs, graphics, full or partial newscasts, promos and opens to every newscast except for the said year. I've mentioned in the past that was an underrated look both the graphics/theme music. And it lasted for less than a year. They started using the theme like in February and it seemed by early January the theme, the 8 year old set and graphics went into the dumpster at the W 57th building. I'd love to see more of it.
  12. where was that set? I thought they had the newsroom? I think that time they had the SBS blue colored paint/decal for the newsroom. Apparently CNBC wasn't the first to introduce such dark and depressing newsplex color schemes.
  13. Has anyone called eBay and had to be put on hold? About a year ago I had to do this and the hold music was exactly the same music that TV38 in Boston used for their movie blocks in the early 90s. I'm betting it might be Network Music. Not sure if eBay still uses it now, but can someone help?
  14. Life isn't in my way like the last few day and the Internet should be fixed so I can return to catching it!
  15. I mentioned the rejoin last week on the shoutbox. It seems like our question has been answered.
  16. Lost internet connectivity, on a backup service - will try to catch up with replies sooner than later. *bars and tone* for now
  17. Massive internet problems plauging CBS2NE. Please standby and he'll return once the problem gets rectified.
  18. that's too bad, I thought that was a pretty awesome theme, that went well with the graphics at the time. I hope he didn't throw away the master tape, but I'm not a Texan or from the DFW area, so I don't know the whole back story. Although they had to make some change because The Spirit was sounding dated at that time, and it didn't look right since the graphics actually launched before the theme change (and it looked so ahead of its time too.)
  19. Just for kicks, does anyone have leads to the composer behind the 1992 WFAA News Theme?
  20. isn't because the pipeline (xfinity) is a different business unit as content/networks (NBCU) and Comcast has become just a holding name of the two properties? I have to think it was part of the provision of the FCC terms of the deal 4 years ago.
  21. I love NYC at night, they don't call it Gotham for nothing! Maybe WCBS needs to get a PTZ camera like WNBC's (no, not the traditional skycam ones), it works for them (and WMAQ too), and the picture doesn't get too jittery with wind..
  22. What's the diff between a station manager and a general manager? I think WMAQ has someone in that same position If you aren't familiar of those dark days of 2008/09 - the NBC O&Os were in severe disarray, Look C was pushed at most stations, some implemented for better or for worse; the PR fallout at WNBC with the move to Studio 7E, and cuts across all of their stations which that would make sense that WRC wasn't in HD until 2010. The fault really lied into Zucker's leadership of mismanagement.
  23. No. I know what you're talking about, however I thought the ABC logo got smaller for a period of time at some stations then blew up again, or maybe it was really the Circle 7 that shrunk.
  24. WCBS' roster seems to be small for the largest DMA, is the weekend crew both responsible for doing morning and evening newscasts? I believe up here WBZ has morning and evening crews for weekends.
