  1. Imma just leave this here:
  2. It helps the font choices are much better.
  3. I got some names: 5pm: "Watch Us After Ellen" 7pm: "At Least It's Leas Boring than Wheel of Fortune" 11pm: "At Least Fox 8 Isn't Here...Yet" Weekend Mornings: "Go...Back to Sleep!"
  4. If WKYC does't use this song for "GO!", I'm gonna be pissed! Hell the band is from NE Ohio for God's sake!
  5. I wouldn't be disappointed if KOIN got the standard-issue CBS graphics. However, these topicals do look worthy of a bigger market such as Portland, so kudos to Nexstar.
  6. Not that Nexstar would be bad stewards of WJW.
  7. And somehow I already see puddles of salivation coming from Dick Goddard Way, E 30th, and especially Reserve Square. This is madness. THIS. IS. TEGNA!!!!!
  8. Sinclair already did their contribution to patriotism with the flag graphics. They don’t have the extra money to do the anthem like Gray, CBS, and Nexstar are doing.
  9. Well Mexican stations (like XETV) would start the "broadcast day" (around 5am or so) by playing the National Anthem. Last I check, Mexico hasn't delved into an autocracy.
  10. I don't get it either. Consumer reporting is more for evening/late-night newscasts rather than morning newscasts. Hell, if you want to do consumer reporting in the morning, do it post-7am (which WLS can't do due do a certain GMA).
  11. Title sounds like a cross between a video game that should be M-rated and a bad top-40 single.
  12. Not like WBTV hasn't done their own graphics before:
  13. The problem that is plaguing RTVE is the same problem that plagues PBS: a lack of money from the government. Difference is that the PBS member stations can make up for it via pledge drives.
  14. Wouldn't surprise me. It's the exact playbook that ESPN used for its graphics. I would like to see someone copy the ESPN CFB look but for the NFL., however.
  15. Or call it Good Afternoon America. But seriously, I agree.
  16. The package just seems so small-market it's not funny. At least Limerick was a decent package even if it was mutilated by some stations. I pray that stations like WBTV or WVUE get something with some pizzazz like what WOIO got.
  17. IIRC, it’ll be if the company has a group-wide deal. So if YouTubeTV has a deal to carry WOIO, then WUAB may be carried as well, unless the contract was made when WUAB was an “independent”*. *since MyNetworkTV is technically not a network, I consider any station that carries MNT and nothing else an “independent”. EDIT: As of 8/5, YTTV only carries Cleveland’s big-4 affiliations, so no WUAB despite it being CW. Also, they now carry the Youngstown locals, yes, even WFMJ.
  18. And WKYC and WEWS as well. 12:30 has always been off and on with infomercials for WEWS, but moreso with WKYC as of late. Hell, at one point, WKYC ran E/I in that 12:30 timeslot back 2 or 3 years back.
  19. I'm sorry but that "16 News now" logo looks off. How drunk was the focus group that they showed this in front of?!?
  20. IIRC, some of the Dish Network pre-Hopper receivers can take in OTA signals and appear on the guide. Comes in handey, especially when Dish has its occasional spats. Edit: Just looked on Dish's website. Apparently, even the Hoppers and Wallys can do it with a USB dongle.
  21. So the main channel can air 2 hours of E/I and shift the third hour onto a subchannel? Dear Gray Please give WOIO this Saturday schedule: 6-8am 19 News Saturday Morning 8-10am CTM Saturday 10am-Noon E/I
  22. Million-dollar question, did the Nexstar shells (Mission, Vaughan, Marshall) get pulled off DirecTV and U-Verse as well? Or just the Nexstar-owned stations?
  23. Two Words...TRIBUNE CHRONICLE! (even if they're technically a Trumbull County newspaper)
  24. ...which will replace KARE and WUCW on channels 11 and 12 on Spectrum, respectively.
