This is likely some speculatron stuff but I could see Fox being uncomfortable with Nexstar owning the majority of the CW for some reason. Especially if Nexstar actually believed that it could land major sports rights, which I'm not at all saying they will.
I'm certainly not speaking for the other networks though.
what sports would be available except maybe local high school and small colleges?

The Clemson-ND game gave me a taste of that XFL game in 01 (cant remember the teams, just remember how it delayed SNL). Lorne is going have to get used to it with CFB.
he's near retirement

I assume none as exclusives. You might see select, if not all games available on those platforms as simulcasts.
maybe no conference match ups, but likely the non con cupcakes, like ESPN does with SEC+ games, which are also available on ESPN+, last year's Toledo-ND game was a Peacock exclusive
How does Lorne Michaels feel about more delays for SNL?

“Banished” is an interesting word, implying that putting a game on streaming is negative. On college game days last year, people at my university would clamor to find someone whose parents pay for cable, just so they can use their credentials to stream it. By putting it on a more affordable service, it’ll be accessible to a wider audience who can’t afford a $60 monthly bill. And in turn, gives the broadcasters some extra revenue
the SEC allows ESPN to put one game per team on SEC+ each season, and those were the non con cupcakes last year

which games get banished to Peacock and Paramount+?

From my understanding, starting in 2023, all NFL games will be free agents, dates will be announced first with time and channel later, similar to college.
I assume CBS and Fox will alternate between doubleheader weeks

I’m not sure if they rent or not.
But, it’s location makes a prime spot for a hotel. If they do own the building, I’m sure a developer is offering up some big money for it.there's already a large empty hotel from the 60s down the street

I'm sure the rent will be cheaper, plus no earnings tax in the county.
why haven't KSHB/KMCI WDAF, and KMBC/KCWE moved outta KCMO if the earnings tax is a big deal? KMBC even built new studios near Swope Park instead
are they trying to pit the city against the county for some tax "incentives"?

does this push the OU-KU bball game to the middle of the afternoon? not everyone has MLK Day off

Who would sub to that to watch those mediocre games?
My Giants will probably have a couple on there but its not worth subbing to for that...
local teams will still get an OTA simulcast
people complain about TNF but enough still watch, they could put pre season games on Thanksgiving and people would still watch

TV was far more watchable when we had three main networks. Cable has diluted talent to the point where practically everything everywhere sucks.
you think TV was better when when the networks programmed under the Least Objectionable Program strategy?

Does this mean KCTV's 7pm news is gone?
they probably expect Spectrum Sports KC to go away soon, and most of it's content has been reruns for the past few years, but why launch it during the slower time for sports in KC? why not wait until football season?

As hostile as Missouri's legislature is to education in general, I think they view the Mizzou journalism program with pride.

They could always have a bake sale...if the budget gets cut.
Mizzou has already had budget cuts due to an enrollment clash that occurred after the 2015 protests, how much could they get for it?

Is there another school in America that owns a commercial network affiliated television station in America? I'd would also wonder whether Mizzou has contemplated selling KOMU whevever the budget scissors come a calling.
Isn't it self funding like the athletic programs?
