Scripps is launching a statewide news network using the resources of all of its Florida stations......including WSFL. In fact, Nicole Wolfe is leading the effort.

So, how does WSFL have a news director if they aren't originating their own news? And what reporters from WSFL will actually contribute?

Oh good Bay News9 and CFNEWS13 gets a competitor and at least other providers in Orlando and Tampa Bay can add it.

  2. http://kcradio.robzerwekh.com/ This weekend is Jonathan McCall's last weekend at WDAF-TV. The weekend anchor is moving to KRON-TV in San Francisco, where he will also be weekend anchor and part of the anchor team on KRON's digital steaming channel. McCall spent a little less than a year in Kansas City.

  3. And at different times. Looks like just 30 minutes the show. Spectrum Sports could move to second channel of it. The News channel hasen't launched yet.  They need to keep Newscast and add back 7am but go to 9am.also expand Weekends to an hour and add some Co-Anchors on Weekends and Noon/4PM.

He didn't mention which shift he will be assigned; since they have both already left after accepting buyouts, will he be replacing Al Wallace or Jason Lamb?

I would say Friday and Saturday and Rob Collins the others but Rob still Anchors on Weekends to.

  5. Tribune back on Sprectrum and hopefully in KC area This TV,TBN to added to Lineup. Also Scripps renewel with KSHB should also include Cable systems so they can add like ESCAPE CCI,Escape,Grit Comcast and so on,Triton to all.

  6. According to FTVLive, Thompson, Wallace and Lamb are out!!

Tribune has been offering buyouts to some of their higher price talent.

At Kansas City’s WDAF, sources tell FTVLive that a number of staffers have accepted the buyouts and will be leaving the station.

Sources say that longtime WDAF Meteorologist Mike Thompson, along with longtime sports director Al Wallace and longtime sports reporter Jason Lamb have all accepted the buyots.

It appears that WDAF will have no sports department as of Dec. 31st with the loss of Wllace and Lamb.
