  1. Good evening, as I've mentioned in a pervious thread there are women TV news, photographers or photojournalists. How common would you say it is now compared to 30 or 40 years ago? Thanks.
  2. Good afternoon, while this is not completely TV news related many in the Chicago news media business probably know who fire photographer Tim Olk is. He has been a fire photographer for over 30 years, you can view his work here https://olkee.smugmug.com/ . If you look through his photographs you will see many current and former Chicago TV news reporters in them. I can see members of the media being both envious and jealous of him, he sometimes gets closer to the action then they do. Also if you look through his Facebook book page two former TV reporters and one current one are on his list PM me for the details. He is currently battling prostate and balder cancer, as if this wasn't his wife lost her job and with it his insurance. It is uncertain as to how this will play out. His story in my opinion needs to be told, that is if he wants it to be told. Thanks
  3. Question, how come TV cameraman/women are often referred to as photographers? Did the term just carry over from newspapers to broadcast journalism? I have always associated photographer with someone who takes still photos as opposed to videos. Thanks.
  4. Good afternoon, was on radio reference and found this https://www.radioreference.com/db/aid/2820 can someone explain how some of these frequencies work? Finally the WMAQ channel of 450.55mhz is labeled as sky 5 IFB, however you can here studio audio on it. Thanks
