  1. And why would two different stations in the same state do this? Kinda pointless for one station to be Ohio News First if another station in the same state adopted the same brand.
  2. KCBS has flipped Drew Barrymore and Let’s Make a Deal as of today…both half hours of Drew move to 2pm and LMAD moves back to 9am. https://www.tvpassport.com/tv-listings/stations/cbs-kcbs-los-angeles-ca/2172
  3. Sinclair has reupped with their ABC affiliates until 2026.
  4. It would just air in it’s entirety after the game and the local news. Just like now.
  5. I thought NBC was getting the night Big Ten game. CBS is getting the 3:30 game beginning in 2024 when their deal with the SEC expires. Maybe CBS does have it in 2023.
  6. Article was later updated. CBS is keeping the hour for now.
  7. WJZY restructuring their anchor teams…Robin Kanady is taking over for Morgan Frances on weekends Morgan replaces Brien Blakely at 5 who will still be on at 6 and 10
  8. Hearst TV leader seems to think ABC and CBS will follow
  9. KWGN and KPLR (both CW affiliates) already do this. KPLR airs a newscast at 7pm.
  10. Capitol will just simulcast on WRAZ…they already simulcast the 4:30-7am, noon and the 4pm anyway. WRAZ could have WRAL’s news at 11 if the Tonight Show moves to 10:35 or 11 but if the Tonight Show doesn’t move up there’s no need to do that. I just can’t see that happening.
  11. That might work, right now teams have individual deals with local stations. Like the Charlotte Knights have their home Saturday games on WMYT. Sometimes they have Sunday games on there too. Not sure how long that deal lasts. But Capitol Broadcasting owns the Durham Bulls, not sure how they would feel about some of their games airing on WLFL
  12. https://tvnewscheck.com/journalism/article/with-nbc-near-certain-to-cut-primetime-prepare-for-a-10-p-m-news/
  13. That makes sense. Gray has a lot more NBC than ABC stations. And WXIA has been with ABC before.
  14. They already have one…WUPA…they just don’t have the affiliation on there. They have CW on there. Same in Seattle and Tampa. But I guess the CW would move to WPCH…because there’s no need for Gray to have two independents in that scenario. The other scenario would be for CBS to sell WUPA to Nexstar and keep CW on WUPA but the writing seems to be on the wall for WGCL, soon to be WANF, to drop CBS with the branding changes. That and Nexstar might have to sell a station in another market for cap reasons if they bought WUPA.
  15. It doesn’t provide any value to anyone. Even if they are an O&O. WMYT has delayed their programming three hours since 2018, when they were still an O&O.
  16. I’m not so sure about Pictionary either. Of course it wasn’t promoted very well but I could see WJZY demoting both runs to 12:30 and 1am and putting both runs of 25 Words or Less in the 11am hour.
  17. WMYT has aired Two and a Half Men at 7 and 7:30pm for the past two years, but it moves back to 10 and 10:30pm Monday with Schitts going out of syndication and Young Sheldon will be at 7 and 7:30pm, with Extra taking over for Young Sheldon at 7pm on WJZY (it was airing at 11:30pm). TMZ and Access Hollywood move up a half hour to 11:30pm and midnight and WJZY will carry the second run of Pictionary at 12:30am. 9-1-1 and The Good Doctor are also picked up by WMYT, 9-1-1 is at 8 and 9pm on Saturdays and The Good Doctor follows at 10 and 11pm. It may vary because of sports telecasts. Impractical Jokers moves to Sundays at 1 and 1:30pm on WAXN. The Carbarno Effect moves over from WCCB and will air at 2 and 2:30pm on Sundays followed by Ring Nation at 3 and 3pm (starting October 2), The Listener at 4pm, Murdoch Mysteries at 5pm, Magnum PI at 6pm, SEAL Team at 7pm, and some show about the North Carolina STEM Explorers at 8pm replaces a run of Family Feud.
  18. No, WFTV must have preempted it and the ABC fall preview on 9/14.
  19. Yeah it wouldn’t be worth it. Might as well air a live newscast at 10 ET if they’re gonna go that route.
  20. Someone said on the other board it got dropped. I don’t see why not.
  21. If so it would be tape delayed….because the West Coast version airs at 6:30 PT (right?) and prime time wouldn’t be over til a half hour later even if they ended it a half hour later.
  22. Allison Latos leaving WSOC Last newscast is tomorrow. Leaving TV altogether and staying in Charlotte. She really has been through a lot in 11 years with the cancer scare and the loss of one of her daughters.
